P.18 states that ' characters may optionally always take a defensive skill instead of a listed skill', but there is no category for defensive skills on page. 22. There are a list of skills that can be used to adjust your various defence scores on p.78 which I assume to be defensive skills but these also include the category of melee skills. There is no category of melee skills on page 22. There is a category of combat skills which includes things I would think of as melee, but that would mean that skills like knives and axes can be counted as melee skills and therefore defensive skills. Is that correct or am I over-thinking it?
