Personally, I'm probably going to go Warlock (Star Pact), possibly with some multiclassing into Cleric.

That way, I can deal obscene damage on one hand, and remove it on the other.

All while praising the Audient Void

This past week I dipped to about 50% Cleric, 30% Warlord, 20% somthing else. I'm back to 85% Cleric, 10% Warlord, 5% somthing else.

In a retro move, I'm going to remake my first ever D&D character, a 'halfling' (rogue) from red box D&D. We're also going to roll for stats for Keep on the Shadowfell, something my group hasn't done in about seven years. Yay for new editions and retro characters and table rules!
