Clearly, the color of Santa's dragon wouldn't matter - only that the dragon's name is Rudolph and that he enjoys eating knights from the Southern kingdoms.

You guessed it, Santa's dragon would be Rudolph the redneck render.

Red.

Santa's color is red, so his dragon would be red too. Beside, a red dragon is always useful in the arctic waste, as you need a source of heat.

Furthermore, Santa is a symbol of modern capitalism. His icon is displayed in every temple to consumerism, during that great holy celebration of buying that is Christmas nowaday. As capitalism is an economic system made by vain and greedy rich merchant to accumulate more capital (have you ever wondered why it's actually called capitalism ?), it make only sense for it to be associated with the most greedy, vain, and hoarding dragon ever: the Red Dragons, paragons of capitalism.

Umm, wouldn't the red dragon be the paragon of communism? I think Santa probably rides a gold dragon, since they aren't evil like the chromatic dragons. His gold dragon probably just uses its spellcasting to look whatever color Santa wants.

If it was a fast dragon, then it would have to be red one, since red goes fasta!

One the other hand if it was actually fast dragon from an astronomists point of view, it would be green, due to colour shift.

Or if it is a very fast dragon, then it's color when moving would be white in the front due to apporaching the speed of light, with a red contrail.

As an artist, I leave the color of the dragon to the viewers imagination, although I would be partial to jade.

The writers view
"The dragon beat it's massive wings, bringing a slight breeze to the night sky. The skin glittering from starlight like fishscales. One second she was there as a shimmering glimmer, then she was no more.

Santa looked one last time at the roof, and with a wink disappeared down the chimney."
