Whirlwind Attack with 10' reach weapon (ie. Halberd)? So what's the deal here? Can u do this? Can't find anything definite one way or another.

BTW, We're using 3.0 rules.

Thanks for any help. It is much appreciated

Of course you can use a reach weapon with WWA (tho, a Halberd is a rather bad choice, since you then cannot make any attacks at all ;)).

Actually, everyone here's wrong. :)

In 3.0, feel free to WWA with your halberd. You get one attack against everything within 5'. Specifically:

SRD said:
Benefit: When the character performs the full attack action, he or she can give up all regular attacks and instead make one melee attack at the full base attack bonus against each opponent within 5 feet.

Notice it doesn't say anything about opponents you threaten within 5'.

Later on, you can get the Improved Whirlwind Attack feat, which lets you attack every opponent you threaten. I think that's an old Epic feat, however.
