Can someone explain to me the Wizard of the Spiral Tower? (Wizard Paragon Path)

- Can you use a longsword in one hand and a wand/orb in the other hand?
- Can you use a magical longsword and get its enhancement bonus to attack and damage rolls of powers with the Implement keyword?
- Can you enhance your longsword with enhancement for a staff/wand/orb? (having a longsword of reversed polarities instead of an orb or reversed polarities)
- What happens when you cast a spell with your longsword as an implement and it is enhanced with an enhancement like Frost Weapon? phrases like "all damage dealt by this weapon is cold damage" and "use this power when you hit with the weapon" stop to make sense when you try to cast a cold fireball.
- What about prof. bonus? Do you add your prof. bonus to attacks with the weapon/implement keyword?

For sure you can hold them. I'm quite positive that you can attack with offhand implement if you want. For sure, you cannot use daily power of one of them while attacking with other. I'm in doubt as far as passive properties are involved - same applies to holding two rods as warlock.

- Can you use a magical longsword and get its enhancement bonus to attack and damage rolls of powers with the Implement keyword?
Yes.

- Can you enhance your longsword with enhancement for a staff/wand/orb? (having a longsword of reversed polarities instead of an orb or reversed polarities)
No.

- What happens when you cast a spell with your longsword as an implement and it is enhanced with an enhancement like Frost Weapon? phrases like "all damage dealt by this weapon is cold damage" and "use this power when you hit with the weapon" stop to make sense when you try to cast a cold fireball.
As far as I know, you should count it in favor of wizard. Frost Weapon and Vorpal Weapon are main selling points of this paragon path.

- What about prof. bonus? Do you add your prof. bonus to attacks with the weapon/implement keyword?
No.

Rather, Yes on weapon powers, No on implement powers.

Incorrect.

Corellon's Implement (11th level): Choose an arcane implement that you specialize in, whether the wand, staff, or orb. You can use a longsword as if it were that type of arcane implement when casting your spells.

Basically, the point of the feature is that your longsword counts as your mastered implement. This means you get the enhancement for any powers with the Implement keyword, and you can use your Arcane Implement Mastery with it as well. [EDIT]Also, as Revinor stated, you don't get proficiency bonus for implements, so you wouldn't with the longsword.

Right. But it doesn't cease to be a longsword.

If you use the longsword as your implement to cast Magic Missile, you add the longsword's enhancement bonus. You're using the longsword as if it were, say, an orb, thanks to the Corellon's Implement feature.

If you use the longsword as your weapon to make a Melee Basic Attack, you add the longsword's enhancement bonus and the longsword's proficiency bonus. You're using the longsword as it it were a longsword, thanks to the fact that it's a longsword.

The FAQ reckons no to this one

17. When you are using a magic weapon as an implement, like a Holy Avenger or a Pact Dagger, what benefits do you get from the weapon?

You gain any bonuses listed under Enhancement, Critical and Property

A Frost weapon doesn't have a property of cold damage, rather its a power. A lifedrinker weapon's property would work however

Gah, reading is my friend.

Sorry Siberys, I didn't see you were quoting the proficiency bonus. Ugh, bad day!

Yeah, not a problem. Those are the tricksy bits people miss a lot anyways, so I figured you guys'd either glossed over the full sentence or missed some rule in the rulebooks. Happens to the best of us. ;)

no. magic item enchantments can only go on the propper type of item. A sword is always a weapon, even if someone can use it /as/ an implement.
- What happens when you cast a spell with your longsword as an implement and it is enhanced with an enhancement like Frost Weapon? phrases like "all damage dealt by this weapon is cold damage" and "use this power when you hit with the weapon" stop to make sense when you try to cast a cold fireball.
the frost weapon power that changes all damage to cold is a power. Weapons used as implements grant thier enhancement, crit, and propperties, but not thier powers. So, nothing.
- What about prof. bonus? Do you add your prof. bonus to attacks with the weapon/implement keyword?
you always add your prof bonus to attacks with the weapon keyword, you never add the proficiency bonus to attacks with the implement keyword. There are to WotST powers with the Weapon Keyword: The One Sword and Correllon's Blade.
