WotC posted a community update to share news of what they are working on for community outreach.

And ... this analogy has been stretched to the breaking point.

No policy was implemented, corporations (and people) think about and plan on doing stupid things all the time. I don't see the point of continuing to be upset about something that could have happened.

How convenient.

By their own words it was bad. Implemented or not.

Not by words either. By action. Changing how they do things with community outreach, going from a stated policy of revoking the OGL 1.0a to implementing a Creative Commons license. By spending who knows how much to fly out, feed, and house possibly dozens of creators and influencers, many who are not their fans.

And yes, they absolutely changed policy, even stating on DnDBeyond that the OGL 1.0a was coming to an end.

The chain of conversation about the OGL kerfuffle belongs on the other forum, the community update is fine on this forum.

Guess the “One D&D” branding isn’t disappearing quite yet.

It won't likely until the new edition (or iteration—however you want to view it) is released, just like they kept using "D&D Next" for the 5e playtest until 5e was released.

I do agree with Oofta on the direction of this thread. If we could keep it to the bits about the announcement I’d, at least, appreciate it.

nobody is asking you to be, you are the one who wants to convince others that nothing happened (or you could stop posting that everywhere it maybe fits)

I never said nothing happened, just that the policy changes [to restrict the OGL] were ever implemented.

That, and discussion of the OGL belongs on the other forum.

fine, that all they did was think about it, my point that no one asks you to be upset (and you are the one trying to convince others) still stands
