D&D (2024) WotC Fireside Chat: Revised 2024 Player’s Handbook

In this video about the upcoming revised Player’s Handnook, WotC’s Jeremy Crawford and Chris Perkins reveal a few new tidbits.

• The books are near final and almost ready to go to print
• Psionic subclasses such as the Soulknife and Psi Warrior will appear in the core books
• Named spells have art depicting their creators.
• There are new species in the PHB.

& agree & It's tea leaf reading, but I'd like to think that the comment Krannik(?) ended the video on about how they are going to talk about the phb for hours is an effort to suggest that wotc knows that problem exists & needs work on their part to correct.

I might have to change my "excitement" vote in that other thread to 5, for purely how excited I am to see what they've come up with when it comes to LAYOUT. Mechanics aside, I suspect that the new books will have a revolutionary new approach to presentation. And THAT I'm very excited to see!

Yep this. I'm basically viewing 5.5e as a sidegrade. It's got some stuff I like more than 5e, and some stuff I like less than 5e.

Where are the folks with named spells from? - since that seems to be the criteria they're using. (I'm guessing alot are in the circle of eight).

Most are from Greyhawk. Some of the iconic D&D spells (magic missile, shield, etc) have in-world creators in the Forgotten Realms.
