Nice to know I'm not the only one annoyed by Anagrams (Zygag, Tenser), Male ELF, Medium RARY, and other joke names becoming ingrained into D&D core...

Vecna will smite you for that!

(And, man, NEVER play EQ or EQ2...)

(Or GURPS Madlands, not that anyone ever did...)

My gaming buddy used to name all of his PC's "Whatever Le Blanc". He had Alcamis Le Blanc, Roland Le Blanc, Steven Le Blanc. They were all related, from the Le Blanc family, and they always had a Nemesis from their rival family: The "Le Black".

In other news...
So far, I have seen five or six people name their first elf PC "Aramil", after the first of the suggested Elf names in the PHB.

Heh, just like Brian from KoDT and the "Lotus" family...

Why stop there? Lest we forget these other gems:
Beek Gwenders of Croodle
Cloyer Bulse the Magsman
Faffle Dweomercraeft
Flerd Trantle
Frush O'Suggil
Gleep Wurp the Eyebiter
Redmod Dumple
Roaky Swerked

Now you just leave Faffle and Gleep out of this!

Tenser is an anagram? Of what?

I can only see enters resent ernest and nester and none of them mean anything to me...

I must admit that I always loved the name Tenser

Yep, just found that on Wikepedia (who'd have thought Tenser would get a page there...)

Oh well, I still like the name. :D
