Let's twist this a little bit..

You all wake up in the same king-sized bed, in a large expensive inn suite. You each have a golden ring on and many party favors are strewn across the bed and floor. None of you remember what exactly happened the night before, although there was drinking and happy revelry. The pounding on your heads of what feels like dozen angry dwarves doesn't help your vision, but as things come into focus, the walls are splattered with blood and then you see a scene that sends chills down your spine. Several bodies lie hacked in the corner of your room, commoners from the sight of it, their blood everywhere and seeping into the floorboards of your room. Suddenly, you hear muffled shouts and the pounding of heavy booted feet is heard outside the hallway. Your door is being pounded upon by a mailed fist and you hear the order, "Open up in the name of the Watch!" The door is locked and suddenly you hear the hammering of a weapon against the door. Only a moment of time before they enter.....

...and at your windowsill, a giant pelican and says..."Come with me if you want to live." then opens its beak as wide as it can...

What did you drink last night?

What did you eat?

What did you smoke?

Its definitely the pelican: he's supposed to take you to the warforged, but only after you've proven your worth by rescuing a clownfish.

If you do rescue the clownfish, you're given the keys to a Starfighter, and then you'll be sent into the past to prevent the slaying of a particular turkey AND ensure that all of the McFlys meet when they're supposed to.

All without killing Sarah Connor, of course.

I cast "Baconstorm!"
You all stand upon a hill, just beyond the village. Fields of grain stretch out before you, golden after a warm summer and nearly ready for harvest. Despite the season's usual heat, though, the air has grown cool but agitated, and the weird semi-darkness that started nearly an hour ago has deepened into twilight.

The panicked villagers have long since taken to their cottages as the roosters crow nervously and the crickets begin too early their nightly chirping. From the distant village center, the bell tower sounds a few mournful notes and falls silent.

Looking up, you see that the great black hole in the sky has now nearly consumed the Sun.

"How long will this go on, again?" asks your guide.

"The Orrerer told us it will last just a few minutes --"

"Make good with your gods!" shrieks one of the Dark Church criers from afar. "The End is here!"

"-- but They say forever."

Across the plains, you see the horizon darken and seethe, a great arc of shadow sweeping toward you, faster than imaginable. You tighten the grip on your weapon. Above you, the Sun flares in one final instant of bright, beautiful glory, then sinks into the blackness of an unexpected night.

Okay, now I have to really wonder what you guys are smoking.
