Fluff

Description:Alexander is nearly 2m tall, with a very large frame and a muscled, though lean, build. He's got messy, mid-length dark hair, a full beard and brown eyes. He bears a deep four-clawed scar through the whole of his back. He travels with simple clothes and his scale armor, on his back an old longsword and a heavy shield, also marked by claws. His demeanor is generally quiet and almost timid, except in battle.

Background:Alexander was born in Bacarte from the marriage between a deserter of the Imperial army and a local woman. He barely remembers his father's place, as he and his mother were abandoned when he was still very young. Shortly after, they were reached by Alexander's grandfather, a retired Imperial commander, happy to find his only family left after years of search. While, his mother died when he was a kid, Alexander never lacked an education or parental love, quite the opposite. Despite growing in the mess of Bacarte, hardly a good place to grow up a honest man, Alexander received the best education he could hope for. His grandfather trained him as an elite soldier, he taught him to read -two languages- and to honor the gods -those of the Imperium. To this day, 21 years old, Alexander never fails to train daily; despite his appearance of a gruff warrior, he doesn't dislike a good read -poetry, most of all- and never forgets to offer a prayer to the gods to ask for their favor, be it Poseeydus before a journey, or Palladys before a battle. When his beloved grandfather could hardly get up from bed because of illness and old age, he started working as a bodyguard and a mercenary as a late teen. He offered services even on ships for brief journeys, and, when he managed to survive an owlbear's attack on his own -of which he bears the signs on his back- he decided to keep the claw-marked shield that saved his life and make it a sort of symbol. Recently, his grandfather passed away, and Alexander decided he wants to see the world and discover in person the things he read in his mentor's books. He has also decided he wants to search for his father. Despite being obviously hardened by the Bacartian environment -he's a fury in battle, and his claw-mark is well known and respected- Alexander is a kind soul, untalkative and ultimately shy.

Hooks:Alexander wants to see the world, especially the Imperium his grandfather idolized and told him about since he was small. Butmost of all, he wants to find his father and find out why he deserted the army, and then abandoned his family too.

Kicker:After his grandfather died, Alexander left Bacarte, was hired as a guard on a ship, and ended up in Daunton. Now he wants to see the amazing side of the world and also look for his father, Anostos Duran, of whom he owns a small portrait and a faint memory. Time to look for a crowded tavern...

Comment: While your powers math is so simple I don't think it's necessary now if it starts to get complex when you go up in level please consider adding the powers to-hit template. Also, spell-checked your backstory and "fixed" the spelling of Poseeydus to match the one on the gods page (unless it's supposed to be your way, then I'll fix the wiki).

Aside: Your father must have a fascinating story, to have managed to travel from the Imperium before the portal was opened. I wonder what happened to him...

Notes

1.) A fixed a few minor issues with powers, things like inconsistent capitalization. Added an to cleave to make it clear its only one adjacent enemy, probably not strictly needed, but meh.

2.) Corrected a few minor spelling errors in fluff.

  • Your passive perception should be 19, not 14. It's right in the math section, though we usually put the regional benefit as a feat instead of the other column.
  • The HP section in the math still has you at 34 total. 41 is right. You might want to consider replacing some of these with the templated versions; they're much nicer.
