D&D Adventurer's League Elemental Evil Player's Guide

What is the "Elemental Evil Player’s Companion"? Is that the cancelled book or some TBD splat book?

In adddition to the official Player's Companion (which contains races and spells), the Player's Guide for the D&D Adventurer's League is also avaiable for download. Unlike the former, this PDF contains guidelines for organized play and allowed options. The guide is similar to the one released for Tyranny of Dragons.

Elemental Evil Player's Guide

Initial skim doesn't show much difference from the ToD one.

Note that Aaracockra are NOT allowed, but apparently are written up as a PC race in the Elemental Evil Player's Companion...

Tyrrany of Dragons characters are specifically allowed, but only if they don't use any of the new options...

The major changes are...

* DMs now get gold for running adventures to apply to their PC (half the XP award)
* New downtime activities dependent on faction

Cheers!

Your right. It looks like other player companion races are legal. It says any race in that, the PHB or Princes. So, no Eladrin or aasimars either. That's disappointing.

Is that an R18 version of the Aarakocra?

No wonder it is not allowed!

This is a pretty cool teaser. It really suggests that there'll be some different content in the guide. Everyone was thinking some class options and genasi, but other elemental races never really came up, let alone aaracockra. Nice surprise and some fun original thinking,
