There is no question books are the primary moneymakers in the RPG industry. But I was wondering what place online resources had in comparison. So, which do you spend more time reading:

1. RPG books and/or published materials?
or
2. Online websites and forums?

(Given this is on a website, I expect the results will be somewhat skewed)

Depends on the time of year. RPG books win out in the summer (least the last 3 summers :D) in the winter I think forums win out but lately its been with RPG books gaining....

For me it's about even. Well actualy that's a lie. I spend wayyyyy more time on the boards reading posts then I do reading my books. I'm such a nerd *cries* ;)

It varies from time to time. I voted online forums this time around because presently that is where I have been spending most of my gaming geek out time doing. There are other times where I am reading more RPG books than spending time here.

Good question! The option I'd select -- "About equal time" -- isn't available, so I figured I'd bring it up here. ;) Both my online and print RPG-related reading comes in waves, with heavy times and relatively dry spells.
