In order of the number of characters I have played of each:

Elf (lots)
Human (several)
Half-elf (more than a few)
Other: Halfling (a few) -of the "Basic" hairy-footed sort, but more a la Jeff Dee's image in the "Expert of B/X" manual than "hobbitish".
Gnome (1)

...and another "Other" for a Centaur PC I had once upon a time.

I've created plenty of Dwarf NPCs but never played a dwarf, myself.

Longtooth Shifters and Warforged, multiple times.

A Dragonborn, a Goliath and, yes, a Wilden (sort of a humanoid Mothra, to me).

Also, a couple of boring (to me) old humans, but I am a fan of class adding "racial" characteristics (Sorcerer, Warden polymorphs, Battlemind psionic physical enhancement, etc).

My various AD&D characters are lost to the mists of time, though I do remember quite liking a Half-Ogre I created.

Human
Half-Elf
Elf (never the base version, it's godawful, but Wood and Fire Elf)
Dwarf
Gnome (both Forest and Whisper)
Halfling (regular, Water, and Deep)
Goliath
Hobgoblin (Fire)
Tiefling (only in PF)
Aasimar (only in PF)
Changeling
Illumian

Haven't gotten to play a Water Orc, Warforged, Half-Orc (PF; NEVER EVER in 3E omg are they terrible), or Tengu (PF) yet, but probably will at some point. And I'm about to start playing a Hanara (monkey-like humanoid) soon.

Half-Elf most of the times, then Human, Eladrin, Hobgoblin, Half-Eladrin (yes), Genasi, Githzerai, Dragonborn, Shade, Vryloka and then custom ones to mimic Zendikar (MtG) ones such as Merfolk |<edition change>| Lizardfolk, Gnome, Aasimar, and who knows what else...

Was assuming by the choices in the poll you meant 4e. Had it been for the entire time I've gamed, my answer would have included a lot more races.

Looks like Eladrin don't get quite a lot of love. About the same as Dragonborn and gnomes. I'm thinking that splitting this poll by edition might be useful because I'm having a real problem believing that 52/149 voters (about 35%) of gamers have played gnomes at some point in the past 2 or 3 years of 4e.
