D&D 5E Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

Rangers don't get Divine Favor, though, so why bring that up?

And no, melee concentration checks would still be a problem for the Ranger even with Resilient and Warcaster. Rangers aren't likely to boost CON that far, and unlike the Paladin, doesn't have another big boost to saving throws elsewhere to make up for it.
I was bringing up divine favor because that style of spell is much better on rangers, and for a 1 level dip in war cleric you can have it plus some nice cantrips ;)
As far as con, if you aren't boosting con "that far" you shouldn't be in melee. That's the long and short of it, with a decent con score (3-5) plus your prof (2-6) you should have a pretty good chance to pass a dc10 check. With a +3 con at level 5 you have a +6 to your concentration checks, you need a 4 or better to pass most of them, 85% is plenty good imo, once you get a +8 or higher your chance to fail on a routine hit go to around 0%(you can't crit miss on saves) so no it isn't a problem to make concentration checks unless you are trying to make a glass cannon which is a bad idea in the first place. Anyone who is expecting to be in melee needs to be somewhat tough, I don't care how much damage you can do per round, you do 0 when you're on the floor.
