LARP in Vancouver Region: Aalutan's Nexus

Event 3

This event will be running on April 1st and 2nd at the Grene Wode Farm in Aldergove;

I will be running the first game: The Sword of Karthage. This is a sword-in-the-stone style adventure based on the core storyline of the next emperor of Karthage. This moves the game to the city of Delta, southwest of North Reach city. The future Emperor is not established. It could be a noble, it could be a commoner. It might even be a player.

Next is Michael Michael D Hickson's game, in the Shadow of Shoe Mountain about an archeological dig near an avalanch on a mountain where it is common to find shoes appearing from other worlds. The mountain is not actually made of shoes.

The Saturday Tavern will be lightly scripted with characters from the first two games in a new tavern in Delta City. The Tavern is not currently catered.
Finally on Sunday Johnathon will be running the Trapmaster of Delta, the story of a trapmaker who does not take well to the concept of change. If you've got some ranks in Disable Device, THIS might the game for you. If not, bring some band aids!

Aaultan’s Nexus LARP, July Games
Date: June 8-9 2017

Game 10: To Trap an Assassin (Sat July 8th, morning)
The Assassin’s Guild has a most unusual offer; They want to hire the Characters. There is a contract on Crystal Elvinshire, the oldest elf on Nexus, and thus their defacto leader. The Assassin’s guild can not accept the contract, officially, because it would violate stagnation and they don’t want to go to war with the forces of stagnation. A faction of the Assassin’s guild has gone rogue. Calling themselves the Red’s Knives, they intend to carry out the contract. EITHER stop the Red Knives or kill the elvin empress first.

Game 11: Deal with a Devil (Sat, July 8th, afternoon)
A demon has arrived on Nexus. It can grant wishes. General Michael Smithers XXII, leader of the human legions in lieu of an official emperor, has put a bounty on the demon’s head. Dark Red’s Church has put a bounty out for anyone who can convert the demon to the worship of Dark Red. A council of human elders has assembled in Delta City to beg the Characters to find a new deity. A handful of people in a small village near Delta City are starting to exhibit extraordinary powers.

Tavern (Sat, July 8th evening)
An unusual couple are trying to get a divorce. Only Dark Red can allow such a thing and he really doesn’t care but they are determined to get his attention. General Michael Smithers has sent a party to demand someone claim the throne of Karthage. 1000 Prometheans are building a city near Delta and have sent a diplomat to negotiate trade. House Karthage is recruiting, an unheard of step, but the forces of change have permanently killed some of their number and they are looking for replacements.

Game 12: Scattered legions (Sun, July 9th 2017)
There are five legions that serve Karthage. Currently they serve General Michael Smithers XXIII. However now there is a queen, of sorts, and the Legions’ loyalties are changing. It might be a good idea to go talk with each of the Legions. Watch your back though, someone doesn’t want you to survive the trip.

Date: Sept 16-17 2017
Time: 10AM Sat to 3PM Sun
Location: The Grene Wode Farm (25133 0 Ave, Aldergrove, BC V4W 2H4)

Game 13: The Horde - A party of Orcs from the Horde lands has arrived to test the Characters and see if this "change" is something they want to get behind after watching their people decline under the forces of Stagnation.

Game 14: The Invasion Begins - An alien army has arrived on Nexus. The war for the control of Nexus has begun.

Game 15: The Dead Resistance - There are only supposed to be a limited number of undead on Nexus. Those are the rules of Stagnation. Perhaps some people are not following the rules. One of the seven Lords of Stagnation has arrived to rectify this situation.
