Did you make the thread? Can you post a link to it please :)

Yep, here it is: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showth...Player-Square-Grid-Mapping-for-Android-or-Web

About #3, the way I see it I would have to put some weird tiles to draw diagonals corridors. If you want to draw them or if you already have such textures you can upload them in the "Resources" tab and use them. If you manage to do it you can send me the map and I may reconsider my positions. Or, you may have a better idea about how to do it, in any case I'm all ear!

The way that Dungeon Sketch does it is using vector line drawing, so you draw the outline of the walls, instead of the floors. It snaps to 45 degrees if it detects you are on a diagonal.

1. That's a good idea! I was affraid that verticals doors would not be very visible, it would just look like a slice of wood. How would you represent such a door?
2. Sadly I don't have a tablet to test it :/ What kind of tablet are you using? Do you have any errors displaying?

Well, my needs are fairly simple, so I would just make the side with the door a bit thicker, or with a rectangle popping out from the wall. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 with Android 7.0 (Nougat), and using Chrome. I didn't see errors.

The way hextml is coded it is not always possible to draw the outline of something. I could make a tile that would act as a diagonal but that would take 2 tiles and would not be very convenient. Here is an example quickly made :

What do you think?

I'll do it. As for the upload problem, I'll ask a friend to lend me his tablet and I'll keep you posted.

I realized I could also do that, it's easier:

But it still wouldn't be very practical, you would have to change tile quite often.

I could also make the "road tool" to work in diagonals.

Multiple people can now work on the same map at the same time.

Players can now see roads and rooms revealed in real time on their phone or tablet a few milliseconds after the GM removed the fog of war on its computer.

It's quite easy but you should probably read the [corresponding part of tutorial](http://hextml.playest.net/tutorial2.html?sub=5) anyway. I also made a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MM2pV-yuRY) and a gif (https://imgur.com/gallery/zzfQcfE) that shows some of the functionalities.

It was my only goal on Patreon which is only 5% complete... don't care! Wanted to do it.

Anyway! Many more improvements on this version:

* Maps should load faster
* I made a USA hex map (http://hextml.playest.net/usa2016.html)
* Sharing the website on a social networks shows a preview
* There is splash screen now, I'm not fond of them but some users were drawing before the full page was loaded and it was causing problem.
* And many other small improvements

For the future:

* Rethink of the interface
* Make some objects movable between hex

I hope you will have fun using it

Talk about it with your friends and other people in english-speaking and non-english-speaking community (even if it's only in english :/).

As usual the previous version (http://hextml.playest.net/v3.3/) is available.

The version 5 of Hextml is out! Try it and tell me what you think of it.

The main changes are:

* You can drag and drop icon on the map
* New stamp tool: more icons, anything can be an icon!
* Better (much better) interface on mobile
* Less chance to lose you maps by mistakes
* It's easier to use custom tiles and icons
* Outline mode improved
* Find your notes easily
* You can resize text blocks
* Collaborative mode is enabled by default.
* Button are more colorful because I'm happy!
* Less traffic usage

If you like what I do you can help me by becoming a patron and you'll get some rewards (the main one beeing that you will be able to save your maps on the server and have access to them from anywhere).

Also here's the previous version if you need it.

Some explanations that were too long for a changelog:

* New stamp tool: this new tool is just like the paintbrush except it paints icons
* Less chance to lose you maps by mistakes: local save (saving in the persistent browser memory) is just one click away and it will restart automatically if you reopen the same map
* It's easier to use custom tiles and icons: custom tiles and icons can be directly uploaded from the terrains tab (one whole tab removed!)
* Outline mode improved: outline mode is better than ever, it now only displays hexes with content, much easier when you forgot where you took a specific note
* Find your notes easily: you can enable note markers, "..." will be displayed over hexes with notes, the outline mode is also an easy way to search through your notes with `ctrl + f`
* Less traffic usage: data are saved to the server less frequently if and only if it is useful

TLDR: Here is a link to the new version of Hextml.
