Please excuse the length of this. But I worked on somethings and added spells to help round out the class. Suggestions are appreciated.

Eschara is the God of Death and Night, she is also very involved with the destruction of Undeath, called the Void in my setting.

20 +20/+15/+10/+5 +12 +6 +6

Low-light Vision – This power functions exactly as low-light vision described in the player’s handbook.

Detect Undead – This ability functions as Detect Undead spell.

Armor of Night – The paladin gains a +2 bonus to AC at night. This is not darkness but at night, even indoors.

Turn Undead – The paladin may turn undead as a cleric one level lower than his current level. The paladin may attempt to turn undead 3 + Charisma modifier per day.

Remove Paralysis – The paladin may remove the debilitating effects of paralysis induced by undead once per day.

Rush of Death – The power of the Eschara is shown and it invigorates the paladin. The paladin may choose to either remove a debilitating effect or receive +d8 hit points a +1/+1 for 10 minutes, this maybe used up to 5 times per day.

Fortitude Against the Void – At 3rd level the Paladin gains +1 to all Saves vs. death effects. This power goes up by +1 per 4 levels to a maximum of +5. At 11th level the Paladin gets a saving throw against any death effect even if one is not normally allowed.

Eschara’s Cloak – The paladin heals faster in the darkness of night. This power effectively doubles healing at night.

Eschara’s Touch – While Eschara waits to embrace those whose time has come the Paladin has been chosen to perform her work on Baer. When the Paladin gets below 25% hit points he receives +3/+3 to hit and damage and may function until -10 hit points before becoming incapacitated and dying in 2 rounds.

I'd change Armor of Night to Moonmail, Nights' Shroud or Vestment of Night.

Spread the benefits or invent something to flesh out post level 8 advancement. There is no reason not to get out of class beyond then.

Well you do get Eschara's Touch at 10 and the ability to save vs all death effects at 11. I was thinking of some additional power but nothing has really come to mind yet.

How about the ability to lay down some Smite?

L2: Smite Voidspawn 1/day
L5: Smite Voidspawn 2/day
L8: Smite Voidspawn 3/day
L11: Smite Voidspawn 4/day
L14: Smite Voidspawn 5/day
L17: Smite Voidspawn 6/day
L20: Smite Voidspawn 7/day

Smite Voidspawn (Su): The Paladin may Smite Voidspawn as a free action the number of times per day indicated. When Smiting an undead critter, the Paladin adds her Charisma bonus to the attack roll and her Paladin level to the damage roll.

It's weaker than a traditional Paladin's Smite Evil ability, so give more of it. :)

I will have a PrC that focuses much more on facing the undead. It will be essentially a branch of the Church who seeks out the Void and is not required to perform the daily and "Night" related functions to the degree that the main Paladin order does.
