Help me find an item

First Post
One of the players IMC has an item and we CANNOT figure out where it came from, at all. If someone could tell me what book has this sucker, that would be amazing:

"Armor of Healing" (though the name may be wrong)
Uses a vestment slot- actually a vest, name is misleading
Whenever the wearer is injured, automatically heals him or her 1d8+1 HP, w/o any control by the wielder.
50 charges

Looks awesome, really. Scoured the DMG, Complete Warrior, Chaositech, BoED, anything I had. Nothing. The guy definitely didn't make it up, but he may have misread it.

Thanks!

You couldn't find it because it isn't in a 'book'; it's in Dragon #302, page 73. ;)

You're pretty much correct on how it works. In any round in which the wearer is damaged, he gets a cure light spell (1d8+1). The wearer doesn't have any control over the item; whether the wearer takes 1 point of damage or 50, they get 1d8+1 back at the end of the round. Also, the wearer can't choose to use more charges to heal more damage, only 1 charge per round.

AWESOME! I have that one, probably where they found it. Thanks a million!

Emmm...just looked through my mags, and I don't have #302, and looking at the cover art online, I know I've never had it. While your description will help us get by, do you know anywhere it would have been reprinted (as Wizards often does in their books) just to solve the mystery, or tell me how much the item costs, as they're thinking about selling it.

Thanks!
