[sblock=ooc] Not trying to hinder the RP, but I was just curious... is this wrap up, or is there more to come? If it's wrap up, how bout some XP and treasure? =P [/sblock]

Ahh, young padawan, it is coming, yes it is coming, but not today, or at least not right now. For I have to run along to pick up the kids from daycare. Maybe tonight, if not tomorrow.

P.S. Yes this is the wrap-up.

Before joining in the celebration, Ingot returns to the scene of the battle and spends a few minutes cleaning up the bodies of the fallen cultists, assisting any monks who are similarly engaged.

Back with the others, Ingot joins Hadrak and the others. At first it does not quite grasp the concept of toasting, continuing to hold its mug upraised a little bit too long, later raising its mug again when no toast has been made. Eventually, however, it catches on, and rises to offer a toast of its own. It hesitates a moment, then says: "To Hadrak, who has already made all the other toasts I can think of."

Unlike Crag, Ingot does partake of the ale, in fact matching the dwarf drink for drink. It seems unaffected by the alcohol for the most part, but gradually begins listing a bit to the left. After the angle reaches about thirty degrees, it slowly begins tilting back towards true as it continues to drink. Finally, it stands. "Excuse me, friends, I must drain my internal storage tanks. I understand it is customary to seek privacy for that activity..." It slowly walks out of the chamber, its steps punctuated by a faint but quite audible sloshing.

-''Hey, Crag, I remember you were curious about the Great Forger after that first fight against those doofus in pajamas with the elemantals. Here, take my old holy symbol of the Eefaystos. The way you attract hard knocks, you may need more of his blessing in the future! But I am sure the Great Forger will keep smiling on you for many years still.''

The dwarf hands to Crag a small gold medallion of a hammer over an anvil.

-''Gold is the metal of the gods. It lasts forever.''

[sblock=OOC]Eheh. Ingot has an internal storage tank...[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] LOL! That bit about ingot's storage tanks made me laugh so hard I fell outta my chair! [/sblock]

Crag is shocked and stunned as he slowly raises his hand to accept the golden gift.

"Won't you need this to channel your gods magics? I am sorry, I have just never received a gift before. I will wear it until either it or I crumble to dust and become one with the earth once more. Thank you my friend. You have been a valuable companion in these trials and would relish another opportunity to travel with you again. I am very curious about the Great Forger. He has blessed me through you several times since we started out on this little trip of ours... but why does he allow you to bless those that are not of your religion. Logically speaking, would not something want to reserve its best gifts to those of its fold?"

-''If you have true faith, you don't need anything. But I must admit that this new symbol we found on our journey does help to channel and focus the energy a bit. Most of it still comes from the soul, however.''

-''We are the children of all of the twelve gods, not just those we like. Beside, if you put your trust in a god, he'll put his trust in you. The Great Forger trusts that I strive to live in his image and lends me his might even when my actions might not seem immediately beneficial to his cult. And even if I sometime make mistake! He believes in his children as we believe in him. Together, we fight to defend civilization.''

[sblock=storage tanks]Ingot has two storage tanks, one on the left side, one on the right. The left one fills up first, thus it stands a little crooked until they equalize again... if that bit wasn't clear.

Also I'm not sure that Ingot actually digests any of the ale... so it might be able to drain the tanks right back into the keg for someone else to drink again! I spared that little bit of action however, I figure it might present Hadrak with a very difficult moral conundrum. :p (Plus Ingot probably doesn't really understand the difference too clearly.)[/sblock]

YouTube - a new hope (wait, chewie didn't get a medal? BOOOO)
[/sblock]

The group wakes late the next day after a night of carousing, except the two warforged, who only need a few hours "rest", with rather large headaches that tell of the successful celebration the night before. Brother Hiram is waiting for you with a bowl of porridge and a rather noxious drink, which he hands to Hadrak, Dorn, and Skalisss. "We've developed a cure for that headache I'm sure you're feeling. One too many toasts I think" the elf laughs, amazingly his prediction is true and the headache fades to a more tolerable dull pain.

The elf claps excitedly as Ershahz comes into the room, carrying a bone in its mouth, and drops it at Hiram's feet. "Well, I'm sure you're anxious to head back to Daunton and we've got work here rebuilding the place. So before you go, there are some baubles we had in our vault that might prove useful" the monk says, gesturing outside to the courtyard.

He stands in front of the the assembled monks and turns back to you, another monk stands beside him and there's a table with a few items on it.

"Brother Hadrak, you've proven the toughness of the dwarves and have served the Great Forger well." Brother Hiram says, the aide holding up a set of silver chainmail that glimmers in the morning light.

"Brother Dorn, you're uniquely gifted at slaying those weak of mind and proven you are capable of handling great power" the monk says, taking a small dagger and handing it to you, whispering "This blade can cause a plague on your enemies, use it wisely"

"Brother Skalisss, your bravery in the face of such an opponent of Rigas is worthy of bards tales. I lack any treasures of Netari, but this blade will burn those around you and provide a light when all others have faded" as he gestures to a heavy golden sword.

"Brother Crag, you also kept your allies safe in the face of great danger, you were a stalwart defender of your friends and this blade will help you keep them safe" Hiram says, another longsword is held up, decorated with symbols of the woods and the wind.

"I did not forget about you Brother Ingot, you fought valiantly and kept your allies from falling to Rigas. This shall also keep you safe" the monk says, indicating a rather worn looking set of scale armour, but you sense that it is strong and sturdy, like yourself.

"One final cheer for the heroes!" Brother Hiram calls out, the monks clap appreciatively, then after a few moments, return to their duties stoically.

Brother Hiram waves you close, saying "Oh, and there is some other wealth to share." he hands you the diamond, it'd be worth a lot to someone interested in these type of things.

"Well, good luck and hopefully our paths cross again." he says, bidding you farewell. A younger monk leads your skiff back to Daunton and you exit the boat safely, the return trip much easier. You're ready to continue your adventures...Good Luck!
