The Hunted (DM: IronSky, Judge: ???)

Devinihm shakes his head. "The blood doesn't lead to the door, only these windows," he says, knocking lightly on the boards that cover one of them. "If it found a door, it did so clean of the blood it has been trailing."

"As I can't walk through walls I was asking our warforged to find us a quick way in and I don't think he'll fit through a window." replies Krav quickly with the same grin not leaving his face.

Krav looks at the warforged with a slight grin and then turns to the door the creature apparently disappeared through, "Could you get through this door? The place looks abandoned and there could be something helpful on the other side. Lives are at stake after all." Krav's words seem far too jovial for his previous mood.

[sblock]You already have my file.[/sblock]

Not even nodding, Earth charges forward like a battleram and goes throw the weak planks.

Rysethynn stares down at the dirt as she walks across the courtyard, eventually stopping at the wall near Devinihm and staring at said wall for a second before Earth walks through the wall as though it isn't even there. Earth looks around inside amidst a rain of plaster and splintered wood.

The room inside is dark as the moonlight doesn't penetrate much inside except for the dust-swirled paths from a few small holes in the ceiling of this place. It seems to be empty aside from Earth.

[sblock=Low Light Vision people]You can see inside the room Earth is in faintly. It looks to be some sort of common room with a stairwell leading to the second floor. There's more cast-off debris in here and it looks like this place is slowly coming apart.[/sblock]

[sblock=Rysethynn]You find the blood trail leading to the same wall that Devinihm traced it to. You do notice a splotch of blood on the wall itself, that is, before Earth goes through it...[/sblock]

[sblock=Xander]Evil cults is bad.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Anyone here have darkvision?[/sblock]

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Anyone here have darkvision?

OOC: Don't think so, but everyone has sunrods :p

Illarion taps his way from the alley and stays outside the house as others sort out what's inside

Auntie Mab blanches as Krav motions her toward the hole in the wall with the trail of blood leading up to it. Then, gulping down her fear, she says, "Ahem, why... why thank you Krav dearie."

Striding through the broken wall she says, "My, but it's dark in here." The old woman taps around lightly with her walking stick, trying to get her bearings without crashing into anything. She whispers to the rat, "Get ahold of yourself Tristram! There's a good boy. Now, can you smell anything pumpkin? Is there blood in here?"

Sending the rat to sniff around the floor for anything out of the ordinary, Auntie Mab stands stock still, holding her breath, and straining her ears for any sounds of movement withing the building.

[sblock=ooc]Still haven't heard from anyone about running Auntie Mab, and I'll be away starting tomorrow. Would someone be willing to take over for a couple weeks? If don't hear from anyone, I suppose I'll have to have her drop out of the adventure, unless Iron Sky can think of a way for her to sit on the sidelines for a couple weeks. Maybe she could go pursue investigations at some other crime scene?[/sblock]

"Someone, a torch please."

OOC: I can take care of her if you want.

[sblock=Voda Vosa]That would be awesome. Thanks! Here's a link to her stat block on her wiki page to make running in combat easier: Auntie Mab stats

I would give you XP, but:

You must spread some Experience Points around before giving it to Voda Vosa again.

The Hunted: Day 1, Hour 1, Minute 20

The rat scurries around for several minutes in the shadows, squeaking to himself as he goes. Suddenly, he gets excited and shoots off to a dark corner and comes trotting back triumphantly with... an apple core.

[sblock=Auntie Mab]He doesn't detect the slightest scent of blood in here. The rat did hear some noises from upstairs though and there is the smell of many unwashed bodies in here, some old smells, some more recent (so it's probably not the party).[/sblock]

[sblock=Skills]Just to be clear, when I said only make 1 skill check at a time, I meant one per post, not one per scene. If you post a check and what you are doing, then I post with a reply, you can do another check. You can even repeat the same skill if you want, as long as you're changing what you are using it to do:

"I'll make a History check to remember the name of that terrible song" is different from "I'll make a History check to remember the name of that terrible movie."[/sblock]

[sblock=Light]Funny that you mention sunrods Neurotic, because in my experience, PbP players will fumble around in the darkness for RL weeks before using one...[/sblock]

Rysethynn sees the blood smear on the wall just as Earth crashes through it.

"Well, tha' works I guess," she mumbles as she follows the group into the dark room. She notes the shabby state of the room, and the stairs and decides to walk carefully until she can be sure it's safe in here.

"Did Tristram fine anythin' useful b'sides the apple?" she asks Mab quietly.

[sblock=Roll]Insight to assess building soundness (ie will it collapse on them any second now): 1d20+7=12

Wasn't sure what to roll for that, but insight seemed as good as anything else. I have the same bonus for Perception if it should have been that instead. Either way, I doubt a 12 learned me much. :p[/sblock]
