Sorry, cannot comment - site says I need to spread XP some?! WTF?!

Well, by the same token, it's NOT creature enough to flank or offer cover from ranged attacks...it's why Onyx dog is better then ranger companions - same function, less problems :))

And this will teach me to get Primera out of harms way. That -5 to hit would me more important then +1 to defenses... :(

IMPORTANT: if swordmage or scimitar wielder adjacent to her move on their turn, Nementah shifts away to Q2 as immediate reaction, hopefuly spoiling an attack on her or at least drawing the attacker away

Why didn't this trigger when maniac shifted? It's a reaction to move...true I don't see it in the description, so maybe just an error in the map? He was adjacent to Ibram on the last map (N2) and now he's in O2...it would spoil the attack quite nicely...

IGNORE THIS FOR NOW, I RESOLVED IT IN COMBAT POST, NO RETCON NEEDED

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Rocco heaves himself up and swings with all his might, bringing his axes together in a clash, one driving the other deeper into the wound.

"RRAARRGH! Get up everyone. Will you end up in chains like those poor souls? Girl, get them up!"

Swordmage
vs 1:Vs Virgil 2:vs Renquist 3:Rocco (1d20+8=23, 1d20+8=14, 1d20+8=20, 1d6+6-2=5), all hit for 5
Mal, why is damage -2 instead of -4? He gets some bonus so you sumed it up in one mod?

Also, Rocco spent his AP before taking a nap :) it's not noted in status

[sblock=Actions]
Move: Stand up
Standard: Brash Strike vs Swordmage's AC; Damage (1d20+10+1=29, 1d6+11+2=19) - mark, grants CA to swordmage

[sblock=ooc]Yeah, my DM hates spirit companions too. But they did get an indirect nerf when monster damage was raised across the board.[/sblock]

Haruka continues to maneuver around the strange creature. She attempts to scour it with flames, but she only ends up burning her fingers.

[sblock=Actions]Move: Move to R9, retain concealment.
Standard: Fiery Bolt the Shard Monster. Bah, missed. Take 3 damage to not lose the power.

dimdale, on this turn if you grant me an attack against the Shard Monster that hits, that attack will deal an additional d8 damage. I'm not saying you should do this; I'm just letting you know in case you were going to do so anyway.

As a complete aside I'm swooning over the hexblade preview. I'm so glad I didn't use Haruka's rebuild on something silly like changing to dark pact.[/sblock]

OOC: Will go with assumption that Nementah didn't shift for some reason and stay where she is...it may even be better not to allow that maniac on the unconcious, but I cannot be here ANOTHER round...so consider the reaction I mentioned valid from now on

Nementah calls Primera from spirit world again she positions her over her sleeping allies so they are protected.

Calling upon her healing spirits she heals herself, directing some of the energy into Dante hoping to awaken him.

Taking deep breath she prepares for another onslaught of the crazed hunter.

[sblock=Actions]

OOC: Actually, you were the one who shifted adjacent to the scimitar wielder, not the other way around.

Here is your move from last turn:

Move: Shift to O3 threatening the scimitar wielder, Primera moves to L3, standing over Dante ON GROUND LEVEL (so he can shift when he gets up)

And err... I now notice that I put you at N3 instead of O3. Oops. Wouldn't change much, the bottom line is you are the one who moved in melee range.

So he started his turn adjacent to you. He attacked and then shifted to O4. If you hadn't moved next to him he'd just have CDGed Ibram again.

Max moves foward and sees that Haruka has an opening against the shard monster. Hit him Haruka!

[sblock=actions]
minor: none
movement: move to V11
attack: commander's strike Haruka vs shard monster

Haruka gets a basic melee attack, if Haruka hits she gets an addition +2 damage to whatever she roles for damage
[/sblock]

ooc: THB go ahead and roll the attack.

OOC: Doesn't work, Dims.

Commander's strike grants a melee attack to an ally and Haruka isn't in melee range.

Your two other at-will work, though.

If you do Brash Assault, Shard Monster will take the bite and accept to make the OA; then you can grant a melee OR ranged basic attack to an ally within range 5.

An opening shove that pushes the monster in melee with Haruka would also work.

Evidently you can, sometimes, beat a dead horse... Renquist finally overcomes the sedative laden magic and opens his eyes. "Fear would be natural, fleeing would be acceptable."

I agree that I moved in melee range, but he shifted on his turn which qualifies as 'moves willingly' and 'within 2 squares' - I didn't contend his 'right to attack' :)

All is fine, I just wanted to clarify
