I agree that I moved in melee range, but he shifted on his turn which qualifies as 'moves willingly' and 'within 2 squares' - I didn't contend his 'right to attack' :)

All is fine, I just wanted to clarify

OOC: I agree it could have triggered the power. Sorry about that. I went by your stated intent; foil an attack or draw an enemy away. Since using the power in that situation would have accomplished neither, honestly, it didn't even occur to me you might have wanted to trigger it...

OOC: Doesn't work, Dims.

Commander's strike grants a melee attack to an ally and Haruka isn't in melee range.

Your two other at-will work, though.

If you do Brash Assault, Shard Monster will take the bite and accept to make the OA; then you can grant a melee OR ranged basic attack to an ally within range 5.

An opening shove that pushes the monster in melee with Haruka would also work.


ooc: Is the Shard Monster at t8 or t10? I couldn't find the monster locations on your last update post. If at t10, max will definitely use brash assault. I'll do the post later tonight. I was thinking that the shard guy was at t8. And because of that, max would not have been able to reach it in 5 squares.

OOC: No, I made a mistake when I wrote Ashir at -11.

You started at 24 (23 from last turn +1 from your book effect) and then were hit for 11 (arrow) and 17 (crit from shard monster). If Shield negates 11, that leaves you at 7 by my count.

I was suprised to see I wrote -11 on the S&S when I knew it should be -4. I am guessing I made a mental lapsus.

ooc: sorry THB. Max has to charge so I can't include Haruka in the attack.

That one had to hurt! Max yells at Ashir. Shake it off and blast him. Max then charges the foe, knocking it hard with his shield and stabbing at it at the same time. The foe falls to the ground, flailing to get back up. Let's get him while he's down!

Ashir was about to move his flaming sphere when Max charges right into the spot where he was to move it.

He moves the sphere close, but not close enough to burn anyone.

Then the genasi has his summoned ally charge the nearby archer and the beast obeys.

The Shard Monster is harassed by Max. It struggles back on its 'feet' and manages to inflict substantial damage but it is less dangerous in melee. At last Haruka and Ashir recover their eyesight.

One archer is engaged with the Magma beast and it occupies him handily. One of his colleague with more time on his hand manages to hit Rocco.

The sword Mage is quite an annoyance. The magic sylvan armor has saved the heroes from grievous wounds but it is still wearing Renquist, Rocco and Virgil down.

Meanwhile Nementah fares better and manages to fend off the scimitar wielding maniac but nearvy Dante is helpless and in dire straits.
