I was thinking of a tracker / sensitive type. Both hafrogman and Shayuri's concepts seem to have the general tracking super senses covered, but a little psychic sensitivity looks open. An ability to 'see the unseen,' specialty senses, maybe some empathic or telepathic sensitivity, and possibly some psychometry depending on how you feel about postcognition. Basically, a kid who grew up thinking he was crazy, since no one else could see or hear what he did. He was overjoyed when he found out that not only was he not nuts, but that there was a group that considered what he did to be a gift.

Well, as a person who's 'mission' is to keep dead things dead and live things alive, I figured my character would have some sense to track undead creatures specifcally... But yeah, no special sense regarding psychics, mages, etc...

There certainly seems to be room for a "psychic" in this group.

I figure that given the PL8, we can easily sort of narrow down the concepts we've got to avoid stepping on each other's toes. So as far as senses, for example, I'm looking at scent, and a kind of detect power source: shadow/danger sense kind of thing.

As far as enhanced stats, maybe I'll back off on the speed and hitting things to let Shayuri shine there, and just focus on being a little stronger and tougher so he can go toe to toe with the shadow when needed, but it's not Plan A.

I think I'm also gonna bleed a little into the generalist/techny/gadgety side of things to sort of round out the character and provide him a life pre-lycanthropy, since the Revelation was only a year ago. So now I'm looking at less childhood trauma, and more first mission gone wrong.

So if I had to summarize the build in three beats it would be:

- Stronger than your average bear
- Sympathetic shadow vibrations
- Carries a personal arsenal

Hopefully that gives ideas for where other characters could be fitted in without overlap, or where synergies could exist, etc. etc.

Just chiming in to mention interest; I'll try and put together a character this evening.

Edit: I thought of an idea here. A gunslinger type (though everything I know about guns appeared in fiction or gaming books). Would probably have an array of 'special ammo' powers (silver bullets for lycanthropes, white phosphorous for vampires, armor piercing ammo for 'armored' demon types, etc).

"Contrary to popular belief, you can shoot things that go bump in the night."

The idea I have is a character who quite literally has the ability to "mess with fate." This ability could be considered to be psychic, but in truth, his ability is divine in nature (he/she is a decedent of a prankster deity).

The character's powers will be based on probability control rather then luck control.
