I was wondering if someone could help me: how do I take a thread I was ignoring off of my ignore list?

Never done that before myself. I have unsubscribed to threads accidentally because my big fingers press to close to that button on my phone.

Why not try using the Thread Tools and subscribing to the thread in question.

I am familiar with the rule about no campaign specific traits, but I'm trying to wrap my head around summoning and was wondering if that also applies to no AP specific creatures for Summoning Monsters.

I'm looking at Summon Monster II and Hell Hound looks like a pretty beefy option, far better than anything else. So I can probably guess the answer, but I thought I'd ask any way just to confirm that its not legal.

In that AP the Hell Hound was an option specifically for priests of Asmodeus. Most, if not all, of the alternates have campaign ties like that. My inclination is to say no for LPF.

Personally, I would love to have the option of mini-quests or the like to open up the ability to summon off of the nonstandard lists. Ni, for instance, would mesh great with a Grig or Nosoi.

If that makes for difficulty in bookkeeping (understandable), then I might like an alternative solution: perhaps summoning creatures as long as they're within one step of your alignment? Just a quick-and-dirty thought that I imagine will get pooh-poohed by somebody else.

Seriously, though, I love the idea of expanded summoning lists, and would love to entertain possibilities for using them in LPF.

I like the idea of nonstandard summoning lists. The alignment limitation is interesting as is the idea of mini-quests of some sort to allow additions to the summoning lists. I would toss into the mix the idea of gaining favor with certain factions to gain nonstandard additions to the list, but that would probably fall under the heading of mini-quests to some degree. I think opening up some templates for application to summoned creatures would be an effective way of changing the flavor of summons (thinking specifically of the Shadow Creature and Fey Creature templates) which is, imo, the whole point of adding to the standard lists.

:) That would be cool, the mini quest option with alignment restriction. Anyways, for now I'll strike those options from my mind!

I thought I asked this question, but cannot be sure. Regardless, I forgot the answer if I did. :p
Rules on Charging said:
You must have a clear path toward the opponent, and nothing can hinder your movement (such as difficult terrain or obstacles). You must move to the closest space from which you can attack the opponent. If this space is occupied or otherwise blocked, you can’t charge. If any line from your starting space to the ending space passes through a square that blocks movement, slows movement, or contains a creature (even an ally), you can’t charge.
This is what is confusing me on the Ride-by-Attack. According to this, you cannot charge through the target. But, Ride-by-attack (Not ride though attack) doesn't seem to care that you are going through an obstacle.

Can you charge, but not going exactly straight at your opponent, such that the path of your ride-by-attack actually goes by the opponent if it is still standing?

Or you get a free overrun with them not getting knocked down.

This sort of thing matters in a 5ft hallway with a critter blocking the way.
