That is where it is up to the dm to change the alignment to how the character is actually playing if they continue to play that way. I am frankly surprised at how few votes there are for CN. I get a lot of players who want to play it so they have an excuse to do whatever they want it seems.

I love chaotic good. Nothing is better to say "I'm a good guy, but screw the rules". Though in reality I'm probably in the lower part of neutral good (so close to true neutral), CG is an ideal I'd like to aspire to.

i loved the tendencies!
wasn't one of the old 1e metallic dragons CG with NE tendencies? copper or brass?

we had a buddy who played a CG thief who would drink quite generously while playing, and he would progress quite predictably from CG to CN to CE...so CG with bad drunk tendencies...

Lawful Good of course!

Though I've played a lot of LN, NG, and CG characters too, I always gravitate towards playing Lawful Good characters. Not that I don't enjoy playing the occasional silly/devious gnome or a shady rogue or ninja. But my choices usually depend on the type of campaign I'm joining, with LG paladins or monks often my 1st choice.

I prefer playing Paladins over any other class, and I 90% of my characters are Lawful Good, so... Lawful Good.

The one thing most people forget about LG characters is the fact that they are LG, and and when they do remember, they just go way over the top to try and fix it...

In my opinion, the only thing you have to remember when playing a LG character is the following. Lawful Good doesn't mean Lawful Nice. You don't need to be a goody two-shoes. You can be mean, and still be a "good person". I've played some series Jack-Asses who have been LG, and I've played some "nice" guys who have been Aligned Evil.

So, to sum up. I like LG over all other alignments, and most people I know play LG wrong. Once again... Lawful Good doesn't mean Lawful Nice.

*grins* Maybe they just can't get organized enough to come over here and vote. SQUIRREL!

I'll be super honest - when you're having an adventure, it's 'easiest' to be Neutral Good, I think. You're an adventurer. You're putting your life on the line here. Sometimes you sigh to yourself and you do something less than lawful or even moral because things need to get done around here. At the same time, it's easiest to be Good in an adventure campaign because you're not fighting the 'maybe I should help out around here' concept.
Neutral makes things a bit interesting characterwise too.
It's one thing to pick up a sword to defend innocents, it's another to be a guy who thinks maybe things can be better and goes out to maybe figure that out for himself. I'm talking about generalities of course; alignment is basically the very last thing I mark down on my sheet. And maybe in part because of that, it's basically always Neutral Good!

Chaotic Good hell yeah! Only if each individual person is good for good's sake, can we abolish the stifling laws and live freely!

Hey, it's an ideal. Doesn't mean it has to be practical >3>;

For antagonists I love a tasty lawful-neutral antivillain.
