Slumbering in Tsar
With Kobold Press doing adventures, it makes me wonder if some campaign settings might be farmed out to other companies, but published by WotC.

Could be - although, ironically, the best company to do Greyhawk would be Paizo. ;)

And continuing the fun...
Planescape could be farmed out to Monte Cook Games.

They've been outsourcing stuff for years. Only in the last few years did they stop. Paizo did DRAGON and DUNGEON, companies like Margaret Weiss did 3E Dragonlance. And various others. Ravenloft was licensed out.

Planescape could be done by Kobold Press too. I remember a couple of articles from zeb cook in their magazine.

Wonder if this shows something of the easing of the brand shackles for 5e, compared with 4e. It could only be a good thing, I think!

So, spend $20 in July instead of waiting one month to get the full Player's Handbook? What's the point, unless you don't want to plop down $150 for the three main books and are happy to settle for just the starter set?
