D&D 5E Your one hope for D&D?

Ya know, I saw the D&D movie recently, and I realized that if it had just been called some generic fantasy name, "Night of the Dragonlord" or something, it would be just like any other ok B grade fantasy film.

Which brings me to my one wish, a goshdarn high budget D&D movie from an acclaimed director, preferably with a trilogy in mind from the start.

Yeah! Cause then we'll get a whole 'cinematic universe' with regular reboots and have a new film of one stripe or another every year for like two decades. I'm in.

A New Hope if you will? 4E Style Avenger. I want the armor-less holy assassin slaying people and maneuvering around the battle field like a pro. I can build a workable one(sort of) with a Paladin/Rogue but it's not the same. That is my one request for a class. There's other stuff I'd like to see fundamentally but since the system works as is and is easy to modify I'd like to see one of my favorite classes return.

My wife is building one using vengeance paladin/hexblade warlock. It mostly works, but I agree that a class built from the ground up would work much better.

Heretic of The Seventh Circle
A DnD cartoon or triple a game franchise, set in Eberron, with a team involving Keith Baker, Pendleton Ward, Lauren Faust, and some great voice actors and guest writers, artists, etc.

My one hope for 5e specifically would be a manual of the planes type book, that doubles as a campaign settings omnibus, perhaps two volumes if needed, with overviews of the major settings, and the player and DM resources associated with them. Including the Nerath/Nentir Vale/Points of Light setting.

I for one would like to see an Eberron Campaign Setting... but one that represents the design of 5e at its core. Not a timeline progression, but an alternate reality; a different canon. What Eberron at 998 YK would look like if it had been designed from 5e's core assumptions from the start. Mostly subtle changes, maybe one or two significant ones.

Are the two even compatible without making Eberron an entirely different world? An entirely different type of setting, even?
