Personally, I like the look of Dominio and the "realistic" take of the discoloured patch being Vitiligo rather than a rando black facial dot. .
I'm aware of what she looks like in the comic. Sure, they could have done chalk white skin and the black spot. Which can work. There's enough cosplay to prove it.As I've ranted elsewhere- it's not vitiligo!!! Domino is a Mutant with bone-white skin. If they can have blue skinned people, metal people and men that regrow baby arms then they can have Domino with bonewhite skin and a black eye patch

But it never hurts to add some minority representation to the movies. To reimagine some characters. And making it a white spot on dark skin works just as well. And I imagine there are kids out there with vitiligo who will squeal so ing hard to see a superhero out their with skin like them. That's ing priceless.
I have Vitiligo. I did not squeal however.
Would you classify yourself as a "kid" though?
How would you at 13 have felt?
I did misread your tone and I apologise if my response was too harsh and offended/ irked. I appreciate you sharing.Luckily I didn't have it as a child and has only appeared in the past few years.
I may have been misread. That statement was more tongue in cheek. I am glad for the direction they went, and I like that those who do struggle with it especially at a more tender age, have something out there mainstream that they can point to, and see that there is nothing wrong with it. That was a long sentence. From my experience, the condition isn't easy to live with necessarily. There was a time that I looked at a mirror and felt that I wasn't looking at me anymore. So I do hope this little bit helps anyone else who may be in that state.
