Not really, given people here said it was hard for them to make it clear how we could find our codes.....
The D&D Beyond ticket system forwards you to Wizard's ticket system, which somehow lost my ticket but at least generated an email I could respond to and seems to be monitored by a human. They couldn't find my ticket, so they had to create a new one via email exchange of information that finally got them to understand it was a D&D Beyond order and not a D&D Store order. They don't seem to have thought this process out very well, hopefully they fix some of the issues with future bundles.

Sorry, used to making the same sarcastic comment about Blizzard. Figured it was obvious sarcasm. lol
Gotcha.

D&D Beyond used to be owned by Curse, under license to WotC. And Curse was a much smaller company, although it changed hands a lot between Twitch, Amazon, Fandom, and now WotC/Hasbro. I think it's the same team mostly, now that WotC owns it. WotC is also small comparatively to it's parent company, but . . . so, it's complicated. :)

The idea that a large company can't experience difficulties when launching a new product is a bit silly, I'm actually in the camp of "give them a break, but communicate your frustration politely to them".

I initially canceled my preorder due to the unclear marketing around which cover you get on the RPG book. The initial ads made it look like you got the really cool Soth cover, but that is only available thru your local FLGS. The "deluxe" cover that comes with the bundles is neat and shiny, but nowhere near as cool. When I tried to cancel, they wouldn't let me . . . until some folks in the D&D blogosphere complained loudly, then WotC decided to process refunds if you jumped through some hoops.

This initial try at physical/digital bundling has many issues, and WotC's website isn't the best for managing your customer account . . . but I'll hope they take the feedback and improve for next time. I'll certainly be more cautious before preordering the next book!

Not for me, I still haven't received my code from the pre order :(

Heh, now that it's out and I've talked it over with my group, four of them have so far chosen to be:

Human War Cleric (probably of Kiri-Jolith) who is a Knight of Solamnia
Human Wizard (hasn't decided between White or Red robes)
Gnome Artificer (I'm going to put in some sort of wild surge rule for this)
Kender Rogue (who is planning on going Arcane Trickster by "borrowing" the wizard's spellbook (the two players are just fine with this for some fun role-playing when it happens) and learning things a kender should never know. As the wizard's player said, "A kender with mage hand. That's scary.")

And one yet to decide.

Sounds like a fun group!
