Having a "generational" campaign that lasts several decades (in-game!) and sees the characters age substantially. I'm planning to implement really long downtime durations from Level 10 onwards (things like you need to spend 1 year in downtime before levelling up) to make this happen organically.
If you’re not already aware of it, you should check out Pendragon. It’s designed for generational play.

I would love to play the full Enemy Within campaign (embellished with some of the smaller adventures), but the time requirements are so massive, the chance of it happening is basically zero. Unless I can time-travel back 20 to 30 years with the books.
Also, it would be great to attend Gary Con next year, but going to the US is a massive commitment in terms of money and time (because I wouldn't want to go just for a few days if the flight is >1000€) for me. Also, it would be a thing that would be much more enjoyable for me if I bring friends, but I don't think any of my friends has even a remote desire for such a trip.

A DnD game where everyone took turns DMing, everyone was great at that, the stories somehow all worked, and I could play in person with 4-5 people I really like playing with.

I only chose DnD because that's the only chance at this I'll ever have.....the system doesn't matter a ton.

To run: an epic Dark Sun game, for players who don't know all the old DS lore, in which we re-do a lot of the storylines and revelations of the Prism Pentad but with the PCs as the heroes this time round.

To run: a Dragonlance game in the spirit of the Dragonlance novels. Big romance, big melodrama, big epic destinies and tragedies. I've mostly got the plot for this one planned out, but i just don't have a group who'd be into that style of play.

To play or run: Warhammer 40k, in a system that I think fits the setting, which neither the FFG books or Wrath and Glory have done. (Mind you, 'fits the setting' is an elusive beast in 40k, because a system that fits a game of high-powered Deathwatch marines, Horus Heresy-era Shattered Legion survivors, or a Rogue Traders elite retinue does not fit a hardscrabble game set in the Necromunda underhive or in a penal Guard battalion)
