I’ll admit it’s become less pronounced as the series has gone on. If you go back and watch those early episodes, it’s more noticeable. “Omeeega” and all that.

Why can’t Hollywood do a Kiwi accent?

Aussies draw out their vowels (“feesh n cheeps”) while Kiwis clip them (“f’sh n ch’ps”).

Yeah, I remember when I first moved here being told that Southlanders pronounced their Rs due to the Scottish influence but I’ve never heard it myself.

The only real different ‘accent’ in NZ is the “cuzzy bro” one that a lot of the youngsters like to use. This one:

No, that was Keisha Castle-Hughes, who does speak in her normal Kiwi accent as Emerie. (Ninja’d!)

You will probably be better at picking kiwi accents. I only notice if it's really obvious.

Down here we kinda mumble a bit and speak faster so I'll slow down speaking to tourists.

If I hear the cousie bro accent I assume someone's from the North Island but can't place a region.

We've got Auckland refugees two doors up.

Omega and Emerie having different VAs makes me think they are not cloned from the same person. And Emerie doesn't have the same high M-count as Omega or she would be the experiment, not the researcher. Omega may be from a secret project by Nala Se and she just pretends that Omega is the same as all the other clones.

Emerie (MRE) would appear to have been cloned from Omega, but modified with accelerated growth/aging. That might be why she doesn’t have the high M-count.

It’s possible that there is some big lies going on, and Omega is a clone of Emerie, but for that to be an interesting twist, Emerie would have to be someone significant herself.

Emerie has the last name of Karr, if that means anything to anyone.

Seeing as how Omega's voice actor is from New Zealand, so it is her accent and not an Assie one, that is kind of insulting to say.
I feel I should clarify that I wasn’t suggesting that Michelle was doing a poor job of acting, but rather that the Aussie accent she has adopted for Omega is awful as in it’s that grating twangy accent that some Aussies have that’s a little bit like nails on a chalkboard for Kiwis. (I guess I’ve lived here long enough to go native, even if I don’t fully sound like a Kiwi myself.)

See, that’s my suspicion as well! I don’t think Omega is a Fett clone. She could be an Anakin clone – he was blond as a child as well – but that seems unlikely for a variety of reasons.

But if she is a Fett clone, and the writers have chosen to make it so the Kaminoans genetically modified a brown person into a blond-haired white person in order to ‘enhance’ them, then that’s just wrong on so many levels.

She’s not a droid, so why would her name be a series of letters? Clone troopers usually give themselves a name. Maybe Emerie did too.

Clone Troopers real names are CT-[number]. Whilst they give themselves nicknames, Imperials don’t use them. And MRE-KR is living with imperials.

It’s no coincidence that clone troopers are named in a similar way to droids.

Heh tge Aussie accent is more grating to us lol.

American accents even the regional ones not so much. Thick English can also be rough.
