:: OFFICIAL HOME OFFICE TRANSMISSION — EYES ONLY :: The Home Office - known to some by its official front, Crafty Games - is pleased to announce that it's brokered a partnership with Pen & Paper Games (PPG) to provide a secure location for field operatives needing to contact other agents in or...

    Alternate Psionics System for Modern/Future?

If you can't get a hold of the Psychic's Handbook, there's also the old Shadowforce Archer supplements for Spycraft first edition - the core book had another skills n feats psionics ruleset, which you could use outside of the classes included in the system. The supplements added weirder psychic...

    Dark Inheritance

Point of order - Crafty doesn't own Dark Inheritance :) Scott Gearin and I worked on the Spycraft version as freelancers for Mythic Dreams Studios back about 4 years ago, well before Crafty was around. While I'd love to see an updated and revitalized DI return to the fold, it's up to the good...

    Call of Cthulhu d20!

Thanks for that post, Talien. Interesting to see we caused controversy without any attempt. But we didn't steal anything that Chaosium also didn't steal - the Mythos has been intentionally open from the very beginning ;) (and for those of you interested in seeing how Fragile Minds has been...

    SC 2: Unarmed Combat

Yep, they're powerful, but it's Spycraft - the scale's a bit different! ;) Seriously though, the feats are some of the most rigorous in the entire book (2 other feats + character level 12) which makes them pretty rare in the hands of anyone save the most specialized of characters. Unarmed...

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

Interesting thoughts here. It seems people think we're trying to put out a D&D killer here...we're not. The intent of FantasyCraft was to open up the ruleset to other periods of play. It's been requested many times by our fanbase and we were looking to serve that. I'm really surprised/boggled...

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

As a counterpoint - would you rather re-buy 500 pages of rules you already have to get the fantasy rules for Spycraft? Mutants and Masterminds, Hero, GURPS, d20 Modern - all these games use toolkit books outside their core that encourage players to use two books. If for some reason FantasyCraft...

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

Holy cow! Good questions. I'll take each in order :) It is comparable to Spycraft 2.0, actually ;) All classes and so forth work on the same core philosophy, so there's something interesting at each level for you to gain. We *don't* follow the DnD philosophy about gear (obviously), but a new...

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

Right now, as with most Spycraft books, FantasyCraft is focused on being a toolkit - as we see from so many threads about 4e, people want to play in their own worlds. There will be 6-7 12-20 page campaign models included with the product, acting as both settings and subgenre demonstrations that...

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

Believe me, us too> :) Please don't let me kill the debate, BTW. I tend for some reason to be lethal to ENWorld threads, so ignore that man lurking in the corner...

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

We're listening. :) Personally, and judging from what I'm hearing here, I think FantasyCraft will prove to be a bridge product for some groups, while addressing the single most requested addition to the Spycraft catalogue. Some may find it to be the replacement for 3.5, some may prefer to wait...

    high action modern d20 system?

Heh, I was suprised it took this long :)

    high action modern d20 system?

I'd submit Spycraft 2.0 for a cinematic d20 game. Spycraft has always been a multigenre cinematic RPG, what with more over-the-top classes than d20 Modern, action dice (allowing tricks similar to Stunts in Fung Shui, IIRC) and a great many ways to dial up or down the cinema in your game...
