    One Handed Melee Reach Weapon?

Yeah Lunging strike isnt the greatest by far, but it seems to be the feat Nycarius was thinking of.

    How Shadowy is Shadowy Illumination?

I'd sketch the 30ft since it's clear. Low light vision havers can see another 30ft from that, and Darkvisioners get their full radius. I sketch what they can see assuming they communicate it to the others.

How do you handle rolling for HP?

They roll and may take that result or the rounded down average of the die.

    One Handed Melee Reach Weapon?

Lunging Strike in PHB2 lets ya reach as a full attack.

PHB2: Melee Weapon Mastery - am I missing something?

If this feat is miswritten then what is it supposed to look like? It gives my focused and specialized longsword a total of +3 to hit and +4 to damage, and all of the slashers I use get +2 hit and +2 damage. Is this supposed to be a +1/+1?

PHB2: Melee Weapon Mastery - am I missing something?

I like the Weapon Groups variant in UA myself give to Weapon Focus/Specialization more utility. It lets those feats apply to a favored weapon type: not just longswords but also greatsword, falchion, scimitar, and bastard sword -- weapons that are arguably part of the longsword family.

    Bloodlines vs Half-

I think it does, as dirkformica pointed out. That Bloodline levels still contribute to character level, while LA numbers give nothing, in effect makes them "cheaper". Also with Bloodlines your adjusted level need not be "pre-paid". If you dont play up to level 12, you've only "lost" two...

    Bloodlines vs Half-

Bloodlines I think are supposed to be weaker than the half template. They represent distant ancestry, whereas half template is saying one of your parents is that thing (a stronger link).

    Making Player Rolls

Besides the false spot/listen, I make Sense Motive an active skill. Players need to tell me when their doing Sense Motive, then I roll the opposed roll in secret applying their modifier to one roll (which is written on the index card I mention above). I roll whether or not the NPC is actually...

    Making Player Rolls

Sometimes for spots and/or listens when the players roll, if they dont hit the DC I'll describe some piece of their surroundings to make it seem like that's what the roll was for. They'll calm down or go to investigate and get caught by the ambush. For most other rolls I have an index card...

Immediate Actions *can't* be used when flat-footed?

Exactly, I always held that Blade the monk warblade can not use MoPC in the example Nail gives.

Immediate Actions *can't* be used when flat-footed?

Yeah, reading the same rule quoted by irdeggman tells me how to resolve Featherfall in the example Deset gives. I found it on the SRD here, start of the second paragraph describing Immeditate Actions. Acting in combat ends flat-footedness. Combat ends. At the start of next combat, until you...

Immediate Actions *can't* be used when flat-footed?

Christian, I cant show you that because you're not wrong. When you're not in combat, you're not in combat. Alls I'm saying is that when you're not in combat, I believe your AC is you're flat footed AC -- because outside of combat you're flat-footed. Acting in combat, reacting to the dangerous...

Immediate Actions *can't* be used when flat-footed?

Caliban, I dont need to make you say anything. I want you to show me where I'm wrong in deducing that outside of combat, which is obviously before your next turn in combat, you're flat-footed.

Immediate Actions *can't* be used when flat-footed?

So you're saying that a character going about their daily business is dodging, ducking, and weaving (using their Dex bonus to AC) but relaxes when someone they're unaware of attacks them; then when they can react go back to their normal state of defensive manuevers?
