It's sorta already been touched on, but if you're going to be moonlighting as an archer, a lot of the stuff (Dex items, Point Blank Shot, etc) will also help your Ray spells, or anything with a ranged touch attack.

Quick update, we just had the EL 20 fight, and I gotta say, I think the DM was pulling his punches. We seemed to be in control the entire time, though an Ogre mage and the chick with the eyestalk managed to escape (stupid teleport).

I already did, both the party and the DM disagree with me, though to be fair, this is literally the first time we've played at level 12/13 (usually school or somethine causes the campaign to fall apart by 10th level), so they don't know that it will be a common occurance
