The Briar Man Is A Monster From Kobold Press' Tales of the Old Margreve

Book for reading and studying but having a PDF is absolutely essential for me at the gaming table. I was seriously considering backing this Kickstarter but with no PDF option I'll pass. I have always been impressed with the way Kobold Press operated so this "No PDF Option" is most puzzling.

RPG Crowdfunding News 100: Quest, The Black Hack, Dream Askew / Dream Apart, Harvesters The Peasants

The Kickstarter information is some of the most valuable that EN World provides. I have lost count from the past how many times I missed out on a Kickstarter that I had wished I had known about in order to support. Thanks so much!

In Search of the World of Greyhawk

I still use Greyhawk pre-Out of the Ashes as my campaign setting. The world map is huge and diverse with a ton of political intrigue. The excellent cartographer Anna B Meyer's personal work on Greyhawk is outstanding. Check it out.

Help me pick a laptop please =)

I have to agree with the wise advice Thanee and tenkar have given here. If this is going to be primarily for schooling then you want a larger laptop. 14" to 15" should be plenty. And unless you have a boat load of cash, gaming isn't really a main stay of laptops. You have to shell out some...

The new Star Trek movie is...

Thanks Mallus for your review. Being a major fan of Trek, especially TOS, I am am cautious of anything to do with TOS especially since the original has such great characters. Do you think the director and script are respectful of Roddenbury's roots/concepts? Does Abrams "get" Trek? After...

Internet Explorer 7; NET Framework 3

No, it didn't take me that long to figure it out. My security software is very good including SP3 for Windows and all other updates. My question was: Are the issues with IE7 fixed? Thanks Mercule concerning the information about .NET Framework 3.0

Internet Explorer 7; NET Framework 3

I am still using IE 6 because as they say if it ain't broke don't fix it. But I believe I need to update for at least security reasons. IE 7 at one time gave many people issues but I assume the bugs are straightened out, correct? Also, .NET Framework 3.0 along with the 3.0 Family Pack is...

    BattleStar Galactica #20:Daybreak (2) Season 4--2009/Finale

But he was willing to breach security for a woman. Ignorance is no excuse under the law. And his actions were far from ignorant. The principle of what we sow we reap is firmly in place. In other words, you can't control the consequences of your willful actions -- and millions paid for it...

Forked Thread: Old PC games you wish you could play again

I would love to play Thief 1 and 2 again (made by the same excellent but sadly defunct Looking Glass Studios who brought us System Shock 2). They were amazing in plot and character. The Haunts could literally make a person jump out of their seat. I know you can play them on XP but there is a...

    BattleStar Galactica #20:Daybreak (2) Season 4--2009/Finale

Bittersweet -- which is the only proper way they could have closed this series out. One thing I didn't like: Baltar. The man needed his judgment day and it was reinforced for me when they do the flash back between he and 6 and says, "I can get you a sneak at the A frame."

    Recommend us some Wii games.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl FTW! And pbartender, what you say about boardgames is true. The old tried and true are still a lot of fun.

Help me identify old sci fi show

Yep. The first season held promise (and Erin Grey! :D). It was a fun show at first, but you knew the death keel sounded when Hawk, half man-half er, well, bird, hawk, something, became a main character.

A Quick Question on RAM and 32-bit OS

I really do appreciate everyone responding. I've learned some new things and that is always good. Perhaps my system specs might lend you guys to give me a more definitive answer. I am in no way challenging what you wrote but what I am looking for is, in your opinion, either a yes or no...
