Can you Slide enemies through your own space?

My Rogue does this all the time with positioning strike. its flavor. When i count the squares mind you, i count it as a shift one diagonal square from in front of me, to my left, then diagonally back to directly behind me, so the rules are being followed. since forced movement doesnt provoke...

Can you take 20 in 4th edition?

your correct. You can NOT take 20 in 4th edition. Take 20 no longer exists. And yes.. the lockpicking entry does contradict it, by allowing unlimited retries. So, by RAW, takeing 20 does not exist, except for lockpicking. Personally.I am ok with it... you SHOULD be able to fail at skills...

    Sustaining a power provokes OAs?

This is why i specifically seperated the two discussions. and probably shouldnt have gone into detail with the warlords fervor thing. They have nothing to do with each other First this thread was discussing flaming sphere provoking opportunity attacks. Thats a question that needs to be...

    Sustaining a power provokes OAs?

and so, based on that perspective your three key feats/powers burning blizzard - yes... "damage rolls" ...check Warlord favor - yes... "Attack rolls".....check White raven onslaught - no .... "makes a successful attack" nope.. the wizard did not do that after the initial action. I would rule...

    Sustaining a power provokes OAs?

Thats a different discussion. I concede your point, its a valid one. But it doesnt invalidate mine. As to the whole warlords favor thing...I would likely rule yes at the table, he does get it, because favor specifically states +2 to "attack rolls". And the wizard would be rolling the...

    Sustaining a power provokes OAs?

ahh, but NOW the Action matters. Flaming sphere provokes and freezing cloud doesnt is because the wizard is making the attack (spending an action of whatever type) a deciding to attack or not attack and actively acttacking. With freezing cloud is a terrain effect represented by an attack roll...

    Sacrifice to Caiphon - Overpowered?

originally, i had the same reaction. But once a took some time to consider it, i was ok with it. the more targets it has, the less likely it is to be a 100% miss. So in order to actually have a good chance to get the power back, you will be using your AoE power in a less than optimal situation...

Dragon 364 - Expeditionary Dispatches: Forest of Flesh

Damn, Kieth rules. I had decided with the switch to 4e i would go back to a core dnd experience for the first campaign. But with sweet material like this... i have to wonder if taking an eberron break was the right decision heh. Eberron got us back into 3rd edition when we had long since given...

AOE Spells - 1 attack roll vs. All Targets?

Nawwww, its easy.. Say you got 5 creatures in the area of effect, thats 6 possible outcomes.. None Save, 1sv, 2sv, 3sv, 4sv, 5sv.. First you take the attack roll, compare it the defense roll and with a slide ruler, calculate the likelihood of each occurrence coming to pass. (rounding to the...
