The free hand on the Ogres Belt is great.
Your blending on the red cloak is EXCELLENT!

Thanks for sharing and keep it up!

Hey thanks. I've been thinking of posting these pics for a while, since I've come and perused everyone else's galleries often enough. Glad I did. I just wish I had a real camera so I could do a proper job of photgraphy on them.

Ok, this angle isnt so good, I should have taken a closer shot of the mini without the banner, but here is one of my favorites, recently repainted with a touch of kitbashing.

When I bought the mini years ago, he had a staff with a deer head at the top. I wanted him to have a quarterstaff, so I cut it back. This time, I wanted the staff back, and made the banner for it. The banner needs to be trimmed up a bit, but there you are.

(Anybody want to tell me why it wont show the thumbnails this time?)
(Edit: I think I figured it out.)

One of these days Ill be able to afford my own quality digital camera, so I can take the pics myself and not have them look as shoddy.

Anyway, here is a dragon did a while back. This one is less miniature, and more statue, as it stands around 8 or 9 inches at that wingtip.

Incidentally, he's for sale. If you are interested, contact me @ tolenmar@yahoo.com

Edit: Found a better front view (less dark)

So no comments this time? I mean I know the shot of the banner bearer is bad to the point of being useless, but I figured someone would take a look at the dragon.

Tolen Mar,
A lot of us that like the world of mini's are very busy and can't always post.
I have posted many mini photos and often go for quite awhile without a response.
People love to look, but don't often have time to respond. In fact, I found that some people enjoyed my threads, but never post in them!
It's also not clear what kind of feedback you may be looking for. Would you like an atta boy or a true critique, so asking for specific feedback can help.

For me, I wouldn't provide a true critique on a paint job based on a photo, because photographing miniatures is such a challenge that your figure could be one of the best in the world, but the photo doesn't do it justice. Or the photo is set to show so much detail that it actually detracts from the overall look of the piece in person.

Anyway... Enough rambling from the nyrfherdr.
The dragon is a nice piece. I hope you get a good price for it.

Hi TM!

I think Nerf is right on. I know I'm more a LOT likely to post if a specific question is asked, instead of just posting a general comment. I just like to look at the purty pictures too! The number of views may be a better judge of interest than posts in a thread...

Usually I assume it is a give and get thing with mini threads, You give posts to one, get posts in your own sort of thing. [see my sig ;) ]

1. the dragon statue is nice[the wings are great] but it does feel too much like a gift statue. The work is pretty good, but gift resin is not a medium I am big on. If you are in love with those kind of extra things on the base don't read this...
I actully would advise bashing off  any off scale bits on the next one you paint & white glueing rocks and sand as filler over those spots.

2. The flame robes are great, the chipping paint on the rest of the figs, though....

3. A light brown wash on the faces of those figs would really would help.

4. The Stone armor on the Knight and his mount rock! The See through blue and yellow paint coats on his sheild detract more than the paper clip does ;) Let one coat dry, then try another thin coat over it.

5. The real cloth banner is fabulous!
