Just wanted to say my first encounter rolls also yielded nothing.. From Triboar to Red Larch, across the Stone Bridge and down the river... nothing. Except twice I rolled an encounter. Both times... it came up Shepherds. Thinking of renaming the adventure Shepherds of the Apocalypse.

It's a true sandbox adventure. Really, and your own little story is testament to the huge amount of variety offered. I told a player today that their initial adventures into the Tomb started on page 150 something of the module.

There are a few reasons why i post these very detailed story write ups.

A) many years ago when i ran games and players said to me that such and such was cool, but i had kinda forgot what happened. They recalled stuff i did not.
B) Super awesome creative outlet
C) Keeps the story fresh for me and fresh for the players with a regular recap of what happened last time.
D) And BEST of all, 5 years from now, i can go back and relive our adventures in color detail with no memory lapse :)
E) And just to share it with others so you can steal ideas if you like them. I've stolen my share that make it better, so i'm spreading the wealth.

Much appreciated. I'm enjoying it. It's also interesting to see how it plays out for other people.

SPOILERS!

I was wondering if someone could clarify for me what is the sequence of events that happened to the miribar delegation. My understanding is they went to beliard then were ambushed off the dessarin road by earth cultists. But then why are there shallow graves so far away from the ambush site? Is that from a different skirmish? Is this detailed somewhere in the book?

It's explained on pages 40-41, sort of. There are two attacks: The delegation was ambushed by earth cultists at the spot marked "Delegation Ambush" and described on pages 42-43 under "The Dessarin Road". As the earth cultists were taking the prisoners back to the Sacred Stone Monastery, they were ambushed by air cultists at the location marked "Shallow Graves", described on page 43 under "Shallow Graves".

It doesn't really add up, though, because the "Shallow Graves" site is not on the route to Sacred Stone Monastery from the Delegation Ambush.

Thanks for clarifying that. The Shallow Grave segment really needed some better description to make that connection, it's left vague.

Ok. Thanks. Probably my biggest "complaint" so far is the scale of the map. Its really a huge area. My group came from the north and are following the delegation to beliard. So they will likely find the ambush site first. I doubt they'll find the shallow graves. Maybe Ill move it to a more likely location.
