I just want to go on record with this: Over the last week I've lost about 70% of the vision in my right eye owing to an inherited condition my father suffered from as well finally catching up with me. It's probably repairable and can be worked around regardless, but it's likely to be a while before I stop looking like Odin All-Father.
With dozens, hundreds, possibly thousands of conspiracy theorists due to permanently scar their retinas tomorrow I feel it's important to have a legitimate explanation for the eyepatch going forward lest I be confused with one of these dolts.
