TSR Ernie Gygax on New TSR, WotC Beefs, Trademarks, Licensees, 5E, & More

If the person he wants to employ is who I think it is it simply solidifies for me that I will not ever buy one thing from this company.

Congratulations to the 2015 ENnies Nominees!

I define professionally made as "produced by a person or company that is being paid and/or paying to do so". Professional quality is not the same thing as professionally produced. There is no doubt that the ME FATE materials were of professional quality.

Congratulations to the 2015 ENnies Nominees!

Now I'm really conflicted. I have known of Don and his work since the days of the LUG Star Trek game and it's Decipher successor :( The problem is not the work itself. The problem is it's being allowed to bump professionally made work in the awards process rather than being considered under a...

Congratulations to the 2015 ENnies Nominees!

That pretty much nails my opinion :) and I have no issue with fan content. I use a lot of it. Allen

Congratulations to the 2015 ENnies Nominees!

Nope, not a publisher. Just someone who likes RPGs and thinks this was a major mistake on the part of the ENNie awards. It has been repeatedly stated by those in the know (like the folks at Green Ronin, who tried numerous times to secure the license) that BioWare does not want there to be a...

Congratulations to the 2015 ENnies Nominees!

so let me get this straight...you nominated for an ENnie a fan-made Mass Effect game that is a massive copyright violation, uses images from the game without the permission of EA, in lieu of something made by a legitimate publisher? Bad form. You just gave the metaphorical finger to the industry...

BLUE ROSE Returns, Championing Diversity & Inclusiveness

It's my favorite system, even over D&D 5e, which I do really like. I love the stunt system, I love the way it handles classes, I enjoy the Dragon Age setting and magic system and I am looking forward to Blue Rose as well. Allen

    The Rise of Tiamat

5 out of 5 rating for The Rise of Tiamat I enjoyed the first part so I had to get the new one. I think this is going to be amazing fun to run. It will be great to see the characters achieve the high levels and I look forward to the epic battles!

D&D 5E Does WotC suck at selling games?

You know how I learned to be a gamemaster back in 1982? By becoming one. I decided that I wanted to run and so I did. I made some mistakes, listened to player feedback and triedto get better. 32 years later I am still running games. In order to be a DM you first have to want to be a DM and no...

    D&D 5E L&L Basic Dungeons & Dragons

What if there is a free royalty-light or free license for the stuff in Basic D&D? But not some of the stuff in the PHB etc.? Allen

Pathfinder 1E Stats needed: Dragon Skeleton

Thank you! Yes, this is a nasty beastie in terms of damage! But it is kind of supposed to be :) I really appreciate this! Allen

Pathfinder 1E Stats needed: Dragon Skeleton

yes, that would be a bit too hefty for 3rd level characters :) oh well, I'll muddle through or fake it :) Thank you. Allen

Pathfinder 1E Stats needed: Dragon Skeleton

I was thinking the skeleton of a Red Dragon, huge size. Could go up to gargantuan. Thanks! Allen

Pathfinder 1E Stats needed: Dragon Skeleton

Does anyone know if one of these exists in one of the Adventure paths or some such? I'm pretty new at this and the template thing is kind of confusing me. I'd prefer to just steal a stat block from somewhere :) Thanks! Allen

    FASA's Star Trek RPG

If anyone is interested, I have two sets of the Star Trek RPG 2nd edition rules (the same as in Morrus's pictures above) that I don't need, as I have the first and second edition deluxe boxed sets :) I could be talked out of them for a reasonable offer (including potential trades). e-mail me at...

    OD&D November 2013--Deluxe OD&D Reprint (White Box + Supplements I-IV)

Actually, it really does not require Chainmail. In fact, I don't know anyone who has actually used Chainmail as the combat system for OD&D..including Gary Gygax. The so-called "optional system" was what we used right from the start. Allen

Review of Marvel Heroic Roleplaying Basic Game by Margaret Weis Productions

The lack of a point-based munckinizing system in MHR is a feature, not a bug. All it takes is for the player to bring his idea to the Watcher/GM. Then you cut down most of the D12's they want to D10's and D8's and you're good to go :) Allen
