    World's Largest Dungeon?

Thanks for at least looking into it. I have become pretty satisified with Necromancer Games' posting of map booklets for thier modules. I can scan them myself of course, but would prefer the lazy way out of just downloading them. :) bushfire

    World's Largest Dungeon?

I am already planning on buying this when it comes out, no way I would pass it up. One question though, any chance you might make available 8 1/2 x 11 size versions of the maps? Even as a pdf download, even a password protected download, hell I would take a DRM pdf version. The only thing I...

Rules of dungeon crawling - player's perspective

Over at the Necromancer Games forums there is a thread in General called "Veteran Advice" with pages of tips on dungeon crawling, and surviving it. http://pub123.ezboard.com/fnecromancergamesfrm9.showMessage?topicID=597.topic bushfire

    Drow Origins?

After you buy G123 download the 3E conversions from the ENWorld Conversion library. For $5 you have the most classic D&D adventure. Run your players against the Giants and watch they cry :) Be aware though that the original was scalled for a party of 9 characters of 9th level with magic items...

    Drow Origins?

Nope they are from G3 - see above The tentacle wands also had power to help summon the Elder Elemental God worshipped by Eclavdra, one of the main baddie drow in G3. Her rival Nedylene worshipped Lolth (a Demon Lord). All the funny spelled elvish gods didn't get involved until the Forgotten...

How detailed are your wilderness/overland maps?

Take a look at this download from Necromancer/Judges Guild for the level of detail in the JG Wilderness. http://206.65.59.13/pdf/rorystone.pdf Remember that this download is only about 1/8 of one of the 18 maps of the Wilderlands. This is the level of detail that I think is needed for good...

How detailed are your wilderness/overland maps?

You know wilderness mapping is something I have always done with D&D. I started a long time ago with the Judges Guild Wilderlands and have always figured it was the best way to go. Detailed maps, 5-mile hexes, lairs, ruins, villages all there for you to use. Detailed Judges maps, blank Players...

    [Necro/JG] Player's Guide to Wilderlands in Dungeon/Poly

Don't worry you will love it. I haven't bothered to switch to 3.5 from 3.0 and am having no problems with Wilderlands Players Guide. You could probably still use 90% of the book if you were still using the original white box D&D. :) bushfire

Goodman Games joins with? (Your guess and mine!)

Don't know what's happening but I do know that I plan on putting Blackmoor back into the Wilderlands where it was in the First Fantasy Campaign before TSR stuck it into Greyhawk/Mystra. :) bushfire

    Most recent Collection of Map-a-Week

Nothing wrong at all. Most are more usable, if not as purtty, as the stuff they put out on the Map-a-Week site. bushfire

    Most recent Collection of Map-a-Week

Not the first time either. From the beginning a lot of the maps have either been recycled ones (the dwarven fortress from Axe of the Dwarvish Lords for example) or useless "fluffy" maps. "Look, here is a cool map of a village with five huts!!!!!. Just look at the textures and shading in this...

    Campaign Idea: Island-Hopping, Swashbuckling Fun!

Check out this thread on the Necromancer Games board. It describes 7 islands from the upcoming Judges Guild Wilderlands box set. These sound just like what you are looking for. http://pub123.ezboard.com/fnecromancergamesfrm42.showMessageRange?topicID=1.topic&start=1&stop=20 btw the Wilderlands...

    [Necromancer/Judge's Guild] Wilderlands campaign setting

It is possible to run a Wilderlands campaign with just the Players Guide. It gives you about same level of detail as the FRCS or the Greyhawk Gaz (in a smaller geographical area). Using the Wilderlands maps, either the original or what should be in the Wilderlands Box set, gives you something...

What are the pros and cons of the different campaign settings?

For you running an aquatic campaign you should really check out the Judges Guild Wilderlands Setting by Necromancer Games. It has *a lot* of water area and seems much more easy to be sea based than Greyhawk to me. Add to that Undersea kingdoms of Merfolk, Tritons, and islands galore it would be...

    [Necromancer/Judge's Guild] Wilderlands campaign setting

Here are some links to teasers Clark posted on the Necro Boards. And, yes as an old time JG fan, *I* think the flavor of the old JG is still there. One thing you will note is the scope of this project. It is more than just updating some 32 page modules. Hell, the original CSIO alone was 80 pages...

    Best City books?

City State of the Invincible Overlord, hands down. CSIO was the first fantasy city ever published back in the 70's, and is still today better than most other published cities. Though Lankhmar and Thieve's World's Scantuary are close seconds. You can find lots of copies of CSIO, both unused...
