In your current D&D 3.5 game, do the players or DM use Psionics and the XPH (Expanded

Having borrowed a copy of the Expanded Psionics Handbook from a friend over the weekend, and had a look at the rules, I'd have to say that i'm amazed there is so little mention of psionics in the D&D community generally. That got me curious, so lets have a poll! ** Ahem, poll options below...

    Save or die

Love 'em or hate 'em save-or-die situations are part of the core rules. How do you as a DM handle them and as a player feel about them. They seem way too harsh and random to me. To spend nine months taking a character to hell and back, pouring your heart and soul into role-playing it. Only...

    Using an assassins death-attack fairly

Heh, of course :) I was just thinking about expanding the scope of the rule to cover effects like 'finger of death' spell. Currently that causes no physical wounds, but does kill. So with no physical wounds, or bleeding, etc, it might be logical to think that the character would be 'stable'...

    Using an assassins death-attack fairly

The campaign world is Eberron, so raise dead is possible, but not quite as freely available as it might be in the realms. Targetting a rogue/barb is one possibility, but that does make the assassin look slightly less competent that he probably is and may cause the players not to take the...

    Using an assassins death-attack fairly

I'm always a bit concerned as a DM when putting my players in Save-or-die situations. It all stems back to a bad DM we had for a number of years that did it session after session after session. We all developed an aversion to it and I even considered refusing to use it in my game for a while...

    Adventures in Eberron> Chapter 32 posted 08-08-05>

I'd just like to take this moment to echo exactly what Anti-Sean said. Here goes.... I can't quite pin down exactly what did it, but something about your story hour grabbed me right from the start. I've really enjoyed what you've written so far - it's been a very fun ride watching how things...

Anyone composed a one page Eberron setting intro?

Thanks Plane Sailing, I've mailed you my email, look forward to reading your intro. I'm tending to agree with MaverickWeirdo that there is too much to try in the world to try and fit it all into one brief intro. I guess thats part of the appeal of Eberron though, there's always something new...

Anyone composed a one page Eberron setting intro?

I'm looking to start a new campaign with my D&D group in the next month or two and am in the process of getting together introductory material. I'm hoping that my players are going to embrace the setting fully and really enjoy the game. I realise though that a lot of the responsibility for...
