Wow, I thought that this idea would be a total cliche, but apparently I was quite mistaken. I think that it would have it's own class levels and CHA, WIS, and INT. The INT would allow it to have class levels, and it would make sense that it would apply those levels to the host creature...

The idea of an intelligent item as a character has been floating around recently. An item with intelligence that controls a humanoid to do it's will. I can't be the first to think of this, are there any rules for such? Has anyone here attempted this concept? If so, how'd it go?
