I would introduce the minion concept at higher levels (actually my group is still level 2 in 5th so I got no real experience) and just throw some Goblins in the group of the big evil guys. So the Goblins would pretty much work as minions in 4th: one hit and they're dead, do at least some damage...

Group of 1 DM (me), 6 core Players + 3 occasional Players. DM: Starter Set, 2 PHB, 1 MM, 1 DMG, 1 RoT Players: Character Sheets & Basic Rules My players will probably never buy any books, so I got the second PHB for only 12€ so that we not only have one at the table.

I also really liked the interlude section. Going to try this out next session.

I'm a little confused about how I will be able to get EN5IDER. Can I just "buy" single articles or a whole issue?

Looks nice. Still missing the Aasimar though. I just don't understand why they sticked to the tieflings, especially into those 4e tieflings.

Ah that is pretty good news. We started off with homebrewn adventures, now I will put them through higher level version of LMoP and then turn to rise of tiamat. Thx ;)

Hey guys & gals, like the title proposes I'm asking myself if I could take my group through othe adventures until they're 7th level and then jump in with Rise of Tiamat? Would that be a big issue due to missing storyline / character knowledge or do you see a possibility to let the PCs jump in...

We haven't even played through LMoP yet (due to some home brew aeventuring) but anyways I'm pretty curious about a whole campaign (i never played a whole campaign out of the book, but want to try it this once). My players won't need additional spells and races they're pretty fine with the PHB...

Might be a little off topic, but do I understand the "smite spells" correctly? You concentrate on it, you hit, you deal extra damage and the spell ends? Or can you concentrate on it even after dealing extra damage and deal that damage again?

Since a few sessions I really focus on incorporating player's creativity. This approach gives the game a way more organic feeling. In my opinion creativity should not be only the DM's responsibility, but it is the DM's responsibility to tie all the creativity around the table together and...

Once two PCs who always were kind of unfriendly towards each other became pretty aggressive. They pulled out their weapons, rolled initiative and one got killed by a critical hit. It's not like it was my fault as a DM, but I could have intervened somehow (at least by saying "stop that guys")...
