    D&D 5E Why does 5E SUCK?

I started playing this game a long long time ago. You were probably just a twinkle in your momma's eye maybe..... When I started playing. I bet you like 4th Edition huh? Well to each his own, because in my humble opinion this is the best D&D yet.

What Are These D&D 5E Notes In Monte Cook Games' Numenera Shipments?

Wow I just read this entire thread. Some people on here have very high opinions of themselves. I've been into this gaming scene since 1977 and all I have to say wow. People play what you like and enjoy what you like. I've played every edition of D&D countless other games. I've played system...

    D&D 5E Why does 5E SUCK?

I know this is going to be taken the wrong way, somebody's going to get butthurt and then they're going to try and chastise me for saying what I said. You were playing role playing games which inherently mean you can house rule the s*** out of them if that's what you want you don't have to want...

Monte Cook Games Announces Upcoming THE STRANGE Boxed Set Kickstarter

I passed on the Invisible Sun because it was to cost prohibitive for possibly now having a enough a group to justify the cost. I'll probably back this one only because I dig the Strange and nice boxed sets that can be used as the gateway drug.

Have You played In An Official D&D Adventurer's League Event?

I would never suggest going to a con to play AL games... unless of course they offering an EPIC. If you can find a local gaming store to play AL content I think that's better. I normally got to Cons to try new things and catch the latest buzz and swag.

Have You played In An Official D&D Adventurer's League Event?

Cons are normally pretty good. They cost are normally negligible. 50 to 75 dollars for the weekend, which is normally 3 to 4 days. AL is really a good gateway into gaming. After. One gets into the game, I really believe that's when the fun begins

Have You played In An Official D&D Adventurer's League Event?

Also I run AL games. I don't like to, but sometimes its the only way to get my gaming fix

Have You played In An Official D&D Adventurer's League Event?

Let me be perfectly honest. I personally hate the Adventures League. Organized play in D&D is way to restrictive in my opinion. I understand the limitation set forth to make it cohesive and fair for all. Yet there are a ton of cool options in the DMG and PHB that are not legal for organized...

    Cypher System Rulebook

5 out of 5 rating for Cypher System Rulebook I love the Cypher System for its overall simplicity. The game approaches everything from a very elementary level, yet it is layered in complex modular pieces. Yet it makes it all easy to absorb. Basically the games are as light or as in depth as you...

D&D 5E Is One Year Old!

My Group has yet to reach 5th level either. It's that real life thing. We only meet once a month for the last 6 months. We do have a blast though. I really thing 5E is on the right track, it deserves all the accolades

    D&D 5E Why does 5E SUCK?

Perhaps its because I'm an old school gamer. I've been at this D&D thing for a long time. Almost 40 years worth of play over here. I can honestly say not since AD&D have I been so happy with an edition of D&D. The fact that the game has harkened back to its roots, but added a lot of flavor makes...

Mike Mearls Talks (er, Tweets) About the Industry

What's funny about this is that D&D was my gate way drug into gaming. I've loved D&D for close to 30 years. I wasn't a fan of $E and left it after I purchased the core books. I played one session with my long time group. We've been meeting for 15 years now maybe more. I tell you though, they...

Mike Mearls Talks (er, Tweets) About the Industry

It's simple. D&D is a brand name, not a game system. D&D will always be what it is. Everything is the runner up. Universal frameworks are smart and can work. Yet not one of them will ever serve everyones needs, wants and desires as far as a game is concerned. The biggest shot to the gaming...
