so you think using cleric levels for defensive abilities is more useful than using the offensive spells to boost fighter abilities?

so it looks like I should go to fighter 5 before taking any cleric levels? I really like the idea of a Fighter/Cleric and want to go more offensive spells to boost the fighter part.

I was only thinking a one shot deal with each crossbow and then pull another weapon if a fight was still needed. Only use them for a sneak attack or assassination

Right now I have +2 chainmail. Is it advisable to work up to plate for the AC?

How would an assassin using two hand-crossbows work? Thinking in terms of stealth moves, assassinations and sneak attacks. Would reloading be a huge issue? I think it just sounds cool

One of the rogues is his daughter and I know that they are secretely stealing from chests, etc. My character doesn't know tho. Must be favortism or he just doesn't understand the ranger and its abilities

Agreed but our issue is that the rogues never have an issue being spotted or heard.

I agree and I have mentored him but now it's a talk with the DM. We are tired of the rogues being the toughest players. Even tougher than my fighter

You are right. I confused the two. Thanks for clearing that up. My DM is gong to be frustrated. It seems like we are pretty powerful even at low levels. Do you see the same thing?
