    The Lone Wolf Adventure Game

5 out of 5 rating for The Lone Wolf Adventure Game First off, this was a great deal for the price, really makes it hard to pay $50 for a PHB when this gorgeous set is only $32. The rules are right back to what made Mr. Dever's books so great to begin with. C7 hit the mood, hit the style...

D&D 5E two things about D&D that could be more interesting

This was a major reason we are going to dump 5e after this adventure concludes, the only thing that seems to matter are stats. everything is linked to them so tightly that it feels way too simplified.

D&D 5E Will we realistically see a 5e campaign set in Eberron from WOTC?

DDO is in Eberron, so the multimedia thing is covered. It would be nice to stop having FR shoved down our throats.

    D&D 5E Will 5e D&D re-claim its campaign settings.

The lack of Eberron is the biggest reason we are dropping 5e. Granted we dont like the rules the way we do 4e, but if Eberron was "moved forward" into the new edition it would be worth giving it another go. Haunting this site in hopes of seeing some Eberron love coming our way.

    D&D 5E Will 5e D&D re-claim its campaign settings.

From what I gathered on the DLNexus site, 5e will never do official dragonlance and WOTC is deliberately keeping DL down so as to prop up FR. I recommend going over to those forums, Weiss and Banks post there somewhat regularly and the gist of it is, they and WOTC are not on good terms. So yeah...

    D&D 5E Will 5e D&D re-claim its campaign settings.

Having bought it, I can see why, other than the shoddy craftsmanship, there was not much really in it regarding what happened. It seemed like a slate cleaning of the spellplague and then go.

    D&D 5E Will 5e D&D re-claim its campaign settings.

Something to think about with us Ebberon folks is it was the first "new" setting of 3rd ed, and one of only three really done for 4th (FR, dark sun being the others) since the WOTC era, we have been a part. It really feels like 5th just dropped us cold and only FR matters.

    D&D 5E Will 5e D&D re-claim its campaign settings.

Dragonshards, psionics are a must, artifice, and they need a new book to get across the feel of the setting. DDO is a good representation of stormreach and the area around Xendrik, but there is alot more too it. Action points, etc. It has a whole different way of looking at creatures and planes...

D&D 5E What single new class would you like to see?

As a devout Eberron fan, the ARTIFICER.

    D&D 5E Will 5e D&D re-claim its campaign settings.

What they have already is really not right for Dragonlance, and Eberron is so far from FR that it might as well be a different game altogether, none of our races are in the PHB, our unique class is not provided, the dragonmarks are also not present, the setting is one of those that really needs...

D&D comes to Middle Earth (from Cubicle 7)

I see the potential downside of everything going d20 style and games getting stale with the same old system, D&D is undeniably popular, but its system is certainly not the best for every setting or even any good for every style of game/setting out there. D&D does its style of game as good or...

New Unpainted miniature line by Wizkidz

If they are the same material as bones, I will pass. Bones are ok and good price, but the detail on a lot of them is bad, merisiel from pathfinder has no nose. but these look detailed and pretty sharp, if they come in at under $5 per hero, I will buy them, if they come in under $8 and are good...

    D&D 5E D&d is not a good sandbox?

If they had a real clever plan to get 1 troll, might be a thing, setting up a "fool proof" plan, that may be open for some hilarity at the least.

    D&D 5E D&d is not a good sandbox?

looking at some of these responses makes think that the size and scope of the sandbox may be just as important as the system its in. A small island like in Ark, could have that 1 critter a bit too high for the party (the apex pred) and then some on down the scale. A city could have a situation...

D&D comes to Middle Earth (from Cubicle 7)

why? what really does this bring to the table? the One Ring works fine as it is, and Tolkein is definately not a spell slinging barbarian rampaging rogue sneakin type of game, and clerics just dont belong at all. this sounds like a square peg in a much smaller round hole, it could be either a...

    D&D 5E Will 5e D&D re-claim its campaign settings.

I wont touch another 5th ed book without an eberron setting. I dislike "premade" modules greatly, and it seems that all thats coming out are these campaign sets. I do not doubt that they are pretty good, but since I have no use for them, I cant justify the high cost for something I wont use. Now...

D&D 5E 5th edition driving people back to 1st/2nd edition.

I dont think it has "driven" them back, but having played it, yeah I went back to the previous edition. It was not different enough from 3rd to be "better" to me than 3rd. I enjoyed 4th considerably more than 5th. We as a group preordered through our FLGS, and gave it a couple whirls through, we...

    D&D 5E D&d is not a good sandbox?

my 2 cents is that D&D and similar class/level games are usually not very good for "unstructured" sandbox gaming. There is a certain almost video game type advancement going on and certain creatures stop being a threat early on, building a playable sandbox that is keeping to some kind of theme...

    D&D 5th Edition Monster Manual

3 out of 5 rating for D&D 5th Edition Monster Manual only 2 issues I had with this book, and to me they were major, 1 price, this book is overpriced, by a lot. Maybe I am a cheapskate, but some of the other books I have bought for similar prices were much more for the price. Second, this is a...

    Legacy of the Crystal Shard

5 out of 5 rating for Legacy of the Crystal Shard This was the exception, I really liked the way this was done. I loved the old tie ins and I loved the options it made available for future gaming in the area. played it with the 4th edition rules, though I rarely stray out of Eberron.
