Another vote for Tomb of Annihilation. It's an incredible adventure. If you need more DMing experience, definitely run "Lost Mines of Phandelver". It's a great intro adventure, and easy to run. The campaigns, like ToA, can be quite a mouthful.

I strongly disagree. I always use Exhaustion, and it makes my players think, and the feedback has been that they enjoy the world being more dangerous and falling to zero having consequences. Dying in modern D&D is pretty difficult!

Sounds cool! But I imagine my players, who are pretty strategically minded, would also dislike this. As a DM I often find the predictability of rounds a (slight) problem.
