I am sorry but this statement is laughable. Paladins are still one of the most powerful classes out there. Just because they have other uses for their bonus action doesn't make them a bad class.

The pdk is a subclass that the game definitely needs but it would take a lot of reworking. I think that that is why the class is ranked so poorly, not because people don't want it but because we realized that they couldn't make it in time for the phb release.

The biggest problem is that is is considered crit roll content and because of that they will never put it into a core book.

While I agree that enchantment is creepy the freinds cantrip is hardly drugging someone. All that is does is give you advantage, you could get the same thing by good roleplaying, fancy cloths, guidance to help you say the right words.
