    Paizo Unveils Two New Classes

Man, Paizo continues to bring out exciting stuff for us, can't wait to see these two classes in action. Finally doing a 2e campaign with Kingmaker, and I'm having a blast with it so far.

    Paizo Announces Starfinder 2nd Edition

Taking your Pathfinder game into Space is a rather interesting thought, if your GM allows for it.

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder To Get New Core Rulebooks Soon

Arguably one of the best optional rules of the Gamemastery Guide is the Free Archetype rules, to give players more options without sacrificing from their class. And Versatile Heritages is something I've wanted for as long as I've played Pathfinder 1st Edition. It just gives you a lot more...

Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder To Get New Core Rulebooks Soon

I'm looking forward to seeing all the changes in action, especially the new class improvements for the Witch, Alchemist, Champion and Oracle. As for Alignment, yeah, the 3x3 Alignment Grid is gone, but the concept of character morality is not. They did talk about it on the streams. Instead of...

Critical Role Could Critical Role launch their own RPG?

I'm personally rooting for them to switch to Pathfinder Second Edition, assuming the OGL issues don't cause Paizo issues. Though if they want to do their own gamew, I'd certainly be intrigued to see what it is.

Critical Role Stephen Colbert and Critical Role adventure for Red Nose Day!

I'm glad to see Stephen's back. It's exciting that there will be multiple members of Critical Role in this one. I just hope that means it'll be longer than the last time, let them all have time to shine.

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

A reminder of one Druid class feature: "Timeless Body Starting at 18th level, the primal magic that you wield causes you to age more slowly. For every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year." 5e Druids can live for a long time, especially those of Elven descent.

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

Talk about ending strong! I'm glad to finally see this arc in animated form...and can't wait for Season Two now. Probably going to be a while, but it'll be worth it.

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

I didn't mean level as in character level, I meant level as in level of skill, group cohesion, and planning. I think they were level 9 at the start of the campaign being streamed (they had done the game for years in a semi-irregular schedule beforehand), and that was over twenty 3-5 hour...

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

They're actually a fairly smart group most times when push comes to shove. In the campaign, they scouted out the town via Wild Shape and Invisibility, before using Seeming to look like poor peasants and traveling the town with magical means for mid-range communications. But the show wants this...

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

Episodes 7-9 are done, and things are getting tense. Percy is out for blood, and it is a ride. Man, I can't believe season one will be done next week.

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

I mean, the main issue is...that juvenile humor does come from the streams. Your mileage may vary as to how much/frequent, but it wouldn't be Critical Role if they took a scalpel and excised it all. They noted they had offers from other places...but only Amazon would let them make the show like...

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

Honestly, while they occasionally do stupid things, they also manage smart things as well. Especially before a big fight if it's not begun by the end of the session, they'll end an episode ready to spend the week planning out something wild. I believe it was posted here before in the campaign...

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

That's true. The main issue of condensing a fifteen episode arc that varies between two hours and forty-eight minutes to four hours and forty-one minutes into an eight to ten episode arc of twenty-ish minutes is that it requires a lot of knowing what to shift around, what to cut, and some good...

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

Another three episodes are out, and we're finally getting to the meaty center of this arc. It's definitely Percy's arc, but I do like that the others are having good character moments along the way. While I enjoyed Kraghammer fine enough, the Briarwood Arc was way more potent emotionally.

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

It is worth noting episode 3 is where it really starts picking up and is the start of a longer arc, one that was quite solid in the campaign itself. As for the classes, they're all there with some context clues. The guy using the lute while singing out magic? (Bard) The girl using nature magic...

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

I mean, the actual proper story arc starts with Episode 3, the first two were just an introduction. The campaign went to some fairly dark places at this point (episode 3 starting at where episode 24 of the campaign did). They have a pre-existing source to directly adapt from, and it's a rather...

Critical Role The Legend of Vox Machina: Bawdy, Bloody, and Funny

It is worth noting that the characters do in fact grow and advance over time. Not just in abilities, but we see growing and shifting motivations, struggles, changing character dynamics, etc. I have no doubt we'll see that happen in the show, just like we did on the livestreams. Compared to the...

Critical Role Legend of Vox Machina

Man, sounds like a lot of potential streaming choices just did NOT get Critical Role. I think they made the right choice.

Critical Role Legend of Vox Machina

It's definitely an entertaining first two episodes. Though definitely not safe for work, content warnings abound. It was smart of them to start off with some pre-stream build up to the team so when we do get to the bigger arcs, we've already got a feel for the team and the setting. It helps...
